========================================================================== OBE Course Manager — Change Log (c) 2026 Prof. Mazharul Islam (mazhar17.github.io/MI) - CC BY 4.0 International License -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Versioning convention: major releases increment the whole number (v1, v2); minor changes increment the number after the decimal point (v1.1, v1.2). File naming: this log is named with the current version (change_log_.txt) and is renamed at every release. ========================================================================== v2.19 — August 27, 2026 (simplification + fix) 1) One vetting form. The plain "Final Exam Vetting Form" was removed and the CEP/CEA version renamed to take its place, so the app offers a single vetting form - the one BAETE accreditation needs. Its printed heading still reads "Final Exam Vetting Form with CEP/CEA" so an evaluator sees the complex-engineering coverage explicitly, the vetter names already stored are carried into its sign-off block (and are editable there), and the titles follow the Setup Section, so an institution that calls them Moderators sees Moderators. Every cross-reference in the app now opens this form. 2) The Documents Section is grouped in two, because twelve entries in one row invited the question "which of these do I actually need?": - Key Documents for OBE Implementation, prepared every semester as the course runs: Course Outline, Course Specifications, Final Exam Vetting Form, Direct CO-PO Calculations, Course Evaluation Survey, Course Report. - Additional Documents for Accreditation Visits, assembled for a visit or when a change is proposed: CQI Report, Assessment Rubrics, SAR Table 2.2.1, CO Modification Request Form, CE Moderation Form, SDG Integration Map. Same single-document viewer; only the navigation changed. 3) Fix: the Design Project added to the sample in v2.17 was generating RANDOM marks, which made the cohort trends differ on every load - and pushed CO5 above target, erasing the deliberate shortfall the CQI narrative and the Cohort Comparison demo are built around. Project marks are now deterministic and pitched at the difficulty of the design questions in the final, restoring CO5 at 20% -> 30% -> 40% (still below target) and CO4 at 50% -> 60%. No calculation changed. v2.18 — August 27, 2026 (adoption by other institutions) Until now OCM was hard-wired to AUST. It can now be adopted by any university through a new "Setup" Section, without touching a line of code. 1) Institution — name, address, official logo, and the faculty and department used as defaults for new courses. These appear on every printed document: the letterhead, the signature blocks and the Word exports. The logo is uploaded from the Setup page; bitmaps are resized to 240 px wide before storage so backups stay small, and the stored size is displayed. SVG files are kept as they are. AUST's details remain the shipped default, so nothing changes for existing users. 2) Signatories and roles — the titles printed on the forms: head of the department (some institutions say Chairman or Chairperson), OBE or programme coordinator, question vetter, moderator, the committee that approves CO changes, and its convener. These are posts at an institution, not BAETE terms, so they are editable and flow into the vetting forms, the CO Modification Request, the CE Moderation Form and the Course Report. 3) Defaults for new courses — target pass marks, KPI marks, target KPI, the direct/indirect weighting and the framework version. Existing courses keep their own settings. BAETE sets no quantitative benchmark (the manual states adequacy is judged qualitatively), so these are institutional decisions and the app now records whose decision they are. 4) Backups behave sensibly: a single-course export carries the institution, and an import adopts it ONLY if the receiving copy has never been customised — so importing a colleague's course never rebrands your documents. 5) A fourth card states plainly what cannot be changed and why: all BAETE vocabulary - Program and Course Outcomes, the Knowledge Profile, complex-problem and complex-activity attributes, PO Indicators, Bloom levels, the official descriptor texts and the BAETE-derived document titles - and the application's own name, version and CC BY attribution. An evaluation team must recognise the published terms, and the licence permits rebranding the documents, not the tool. No calculation changed. v2.17 — August 27, 2026 (BAETE SAR alignment) An audit of OCM against ACC-MAN-02 v3.0, the SAR template ACC-TMP-04-04 v3 and the PO Indicator list ACC-MAN-02-01 found five course-level gaps. All are closed here. 1) New printable "SAR Table 2.2.1" — the five columns the SAR asks for in Criterion 2.3, in its order: CO No., CO statement, corresponding PO, teaching-learning methods (the activities adopted per CO) and assessment methods (the assessments whose items measure that CO). A department can export it for Word and paste the rows straight into the report instead of retyping them for every course. 2) "Laboratory Activities" now prints inside the Course Specifications for any course with Lab/Sessional assessments — each experiment with the CO it serves, its level, marks and the tool that assesses it, with open-ended tasks flagged. This is what SAR 3.8.1 asks laboratory courses to demonstrate. 3) Feedback returned to students is now recorded: each assessment carries a date and a note on how feedback was given (script review, LMS, class discussion), printed as section 4.4 of the Course Report. BAETE Criterion 5.5(3) requires periodic feedback on academic performance, and until now the app held no evidence of it. 4) Grading policy joins Course Info and prints in the Course Outline beneath the assessment percentages — part of the lecture-plan documentation required by SAR 2.5. 5) The Annexure H evidence checklist gained two lines: samples of marked student work per assessment tool (SAR 2.5) and the record of feedback returned (SAR 5.5.3). 6) The theory sample now includes a Design Project (solar-wind hybrid system) with a justified complex-engineering audit and a weighted rubric, so the CE Moderation Form and the culminating-course evidence of SAR 3.8.1 can be demonstrated. It is added when the sample loads, leaving the embedded outline data exactly as approved. Deliberately out of scope, because they are programme-level rather than course-level: PEOs, PO equivalence, curriculum- wide WK/SDG mapping, graduating-cohort PO attainment, alumni and employer loops, and Criteria 4 and 6-9. OCM's part is to make each course's contribution export-ready. No calculation changed. v2.16 — August 27, 2026 (feature — Version 3 only) The SDG work moved out of folded cards into two proper sub-sections, and the tagging switched from small chips to the tick matrix used everywhere else in the app. 1) T&L Section gains a "SDGs" sub-section and the Assessments Section gains "SDG Assessment". Both show a tick matrix - rows are the adopted teaching-learning activities, or the assessments - one column per claimed goal, ticked exactly like the CO-PO and s14 tables. The chips previously squeezed into each assessment card were removed, so there is one place to tag, not two. Both pills appear only for Version 3 courses. 2) A Remarks column on each row, one auto-growing box per ticked goal ("how this assessment evidences SDG 12"). The remarks print in the SDG Integration Map beneath the activity or assessment they belong to, so that document now explains itself instead of listing bare names. 3) Suggested goals, never automatic claims. Version 3 writes sustainable development into PO2, PO3 and PO6, so a CO mapped to one of them shows the corresponding goals as hollow amber circles in the CO x SDG matrix - PO2 -> SDG 12, 13; PO3 -> SDG 3, 9, 12, 13; PO6 -> SDG 8, 11, 13, 16 - with a "Accept suggested" button per CO to claim them in one click. They are deliberately NOT ticked by default: the matrix prints in the Course Outline, and every claim in this app is a human judgement, not a default. The same amber circle marks, in the two new matrices, the goals a row's COs already claim - so a teacher sees what a tick is expected to be before making it. No calculation changed. v2.15 — August 27, 2026 (feature — Version 3 only) BAETE ACC-MAN-02 v3.0, Criterion 5.3(6): "the program must demonstrate how various United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are considered in teaching, learning, and assessment." OCM now carries that evidence end to end. Everything below appears ONLY for courses on Framework Version 3 - the requirement does not exist in Version 2.2, so a v2.2 course shows no SDG field anywhere (data is preserved, not deleted, if a course is switched back). 1) CLAIM - a CO x SDG matrix in the COs Section, all seventeen goals with their official titles, ticked with the same cell idiom as the s14 attributes, plus one line per claimed goal saying HOW it is considered. 2) EVIDENCE - SDG chips on the adopted teaching-learning activities (T&L Section, the "teaching and learning" half) and on each assessment (the "assessment" half). Only the goals claimed by the COs are offered, keeping the lists short. 3) MEASUREMENT - a new "SDG" sub-section in the Attainment Section. Each goal's figure is the mean direct attainment of the COs claiming it, on the course's own thresholds - no new mathematics and no new settings. It is labelled an INTERNAL DIAGNOSTIC, because BAETE requires the goals to be considered and prescribes neither an SDG threshold nor a formula. 4) REPORTING - the evidence surfaces in six places: the Course Outline (a consideration table after the PO Indicator table), the Direct CO-PO Calculations (the attainment table), the Attainment Section, the CQI findings, and a new printable "SDG Integration Map" - goal, how it is considered, teaching-learning activities, assessment tools, related COs and attainment on one landscape page, exportable to Word for the programme's self-assessment report. 5) HONESTY CHECKS in the existing gaps card: a goal claimed but neither taught nor assessed; a goal evidenced on an activity or assessment but claimed by no CO; a goal claimed without the sentence explaining how; and a guard when more than six goals are claimed, since a course rarely serves more than a handful meaningfully. 6) Both Version 3 samples arrive tagged - ME 4011 with SDG 7, 9, 11, 12 and 13, ME 3106 with SDG 6 and 9 - each with the explanatory line, activity tags inherited from the claiming CO, and assessment tags, so the whole chain can be shown in a training session without typing anything. No calculation changed; SDG attainment is derived from the existing CO figures. v2.14 — August 27, 2026 (simplification) Yesterday's release left the same evidence in two documents and, worse, in two editable places: the CEP & CEA audit form stored a justification per attribute, while the projects-only moderation form kept its own copy, seeded from it but free to drift. Both are now one thing. 1) A single document, "CE Moderation Form", replaces both "CEP & CEA Audit Forms" and "CE Moderation Form (Projects)". It generates a section for EVERY assessment carrying complex- engineering tags - project, final report, assignment, presentation, viva or lab - so the open-ended labs of a sessional course are covered, which the projects-only form could not do and which is the whole complex-engineering evidence of a course like ME 3106. 2) One store. The relevance text in the moderation form writes straight to the assessment's audit justifications, so editing it in the Documents Section or on the CEP & CEA card is the same text - they can no longer disagree in the accreditation file. Only what is genuinely its own stays in the moderation record: the task description, the per-knowledge-profile rows, the moderator verdict and remarks, the modifications block and the Head of Department approval. 3) The features introduced with the projects form are kept for every type: header, brief description of the task (seeded from the open-ended task statement where there is one), the read-only CO table, official descriptors with a tick on each claimed attribute, the related CO, the expansion of the first complex-problem attribute into one row per knowledge profile - now derived from the COs whose items actually carry the tags - and the moderator to Head of Department approval chain. 4) Wording generalised from "project" to "task"; the CEP & CEA card in the Assessments Section now points at the single document. No calculation changed. v2.13 — August 27, 2026 (feature) 1) New document: "CE Moderation Form (Projects)" — the internal audit and moderation form for courses with projects, evidencing complex engineering problem solving and complex engineering activities. Generated for every Project and Final Report assessment, mostly from data the course already holds: - header from Course Info and the assessment name; - a project description box, and the complexity statement carried in from the CEP & CEA audit form; - the CO table (COs, POs, Bloom level, K/WK profiles, P/WP and A/EA ranges) generated from the approved course record and deliberately read-only, so a signed form can never disagree with the outline; - the seven complex-problem ranges with their official descriptors, a tick on each attribute the project's items actually carry, the related CO derived from those items, and a relevance box per attribute pre-filled from the audit justifications. Following the AUST template, the first attribute expands into one row per claimed knowledge profile, each with its own relevance box; - the five complex-activity ranges the same way; - moderator verdict (recommended / with modifications / not recommended), remarks and name; Part 2 modifications-done block; Part 3 Head of Department approval. 2) Both wide forms — CE Moderation and CO Modification Request — now print LANDSCAPE (their tables run to 9 and 16 columns); every other document stays portrait. 3) Every authored field in these two forms is editable directly in the Documents Section and saves to the course, so the Section editor and the printable are one thing rather than two. The auto-generated columns (the CO table, and the Existing side of the modification form) stay read-only by design. 4) New "Export for Word (.doc)" button on every document. The export is Word-compatible HTML with page setup, so it opens in Word or LibreOffice with tables, landscape orientation and styling intact and is fully editable; from Word it can be saved as .rtf in one step. Live input fields are frozen to their values first, so the exported file contains text rather than form controls. No calculation changed. v2.12 — August 27, 2026 (feature) New: CO Modification Request Form — the approval route for changing an already-approved Course Outcome, following the AUST template and now driven by the app's own findings. 1) Editor in the COs Section ("CO Modification Request", folded). Each row holds an action (modify / add / delete), the EXISTING outcome — copied live from the course and never typed, so a form cannot drift from the approved record — the proposed statement with its PO, Bloom level and attribute claims, a reason-and-evidence note, and a five-point SMART verification with tick marks and per-criterion notes. A proposed statement that itself opens with a non-measurable verb is flagged in red as you type it. Committee name, convener, effective-from semester and the approve / not- approve decision with the convener's comments complete the record. 2) Automation from the CQI card: every finding in "Outcome Quality & Coverage Gaps" gained a "→ Draft modification form" button. A wording finding fills the proposal with the Bloom-matched revised statement; a coverage finding fills the proposed §14 attributes with what the assessment items actually evidence; both carry the finding (and its evidence) into the reason column, and set the effective-from semester to the next offering in AUST order. 3) Framework transition: a v2.2 course can draft a row per CO recording the move to Version 3, with K/P/A converted to WK/WP/EA and a reason noting that PO numbering diverges from PO6 onward, so every mapping must be restated and approved rather than renumbered silently. The course itself is not changed. 4) Printable "CO Modification Request Form" in the Documents Section, framework-aware throughout: General Information (including the framework version and effective-from semester, so a signed copy stays unambiguous), the Existing -> Modification table with PO, Bloom and K/P/A columns — or WK/WP/EA plus a PO Indicators column under Version 3 — a reason-and-evidence column, the SMART verification table, and the committee decision with the convener's sign-off. Beyond the source template, the form adds the reason/evidence column, the attribute (s14) columns, the effective-from semester and an explicit action marker: without them the record could not show WHY a change was made, could not carry a s14 change at all, and could not represent an addition or a deletion. No calculation changed. v2.11 — August 27, 2026 (wording) The "Accreditation Documents" Section is now simply "Documents". The Section had outgrown its name: besides the accreditation set it now holds student-facing rubric sheets, CEP & CEA audit forms, the survey form and the vetting forms - documents used every semester in normal teaching, not only when BAETE visits. "Documents" is accurate for all of them and less intimidating for a new user; the accreditation context now lives in the Section's guidance card, whose summary reads "Every printable this course needs - for teaching, for moderation and for the accreditation file". Ten references across the navigation, guidance cards, hints, the CQI loop strip and the About Section were updated; no document title, layout or content changed. v2.10 — August 27, 2026 (wording) "Load Sample Course" became "Load Sample Theory Course" on both buttons (v2.2 and v3), with the tooltips and the confirmation message updated to match. Sitting beside "Load Sample Sessional", the old label implied a sessional is not a course; theory versus sessional is the distinction AUST already uses, so the pair now reads correctly with no explanation needed. The sessional buttons keep their shorter label. Nothing else changed. v2.09 — August 27, 2026 (new samples) Both sample courses now exist in BOTH framework versions, and the Dashboard labels them accordingly - four buttons: Load Sample Course (v2.2) / (v3) and Load Sample Sessional (v2.2) / (v3). Each still loads three offerings for Cohort Comparison, so a trainer can put the same course side by side under Version 2.2 and Version 3. The Version 3 variants are a considered conversion, not a relabel, because the PO list diverges from PO6 onward: v2.2 PO6 (The Engineer and Society) and PO7 (Environment and Sustainability) merge into v3 PO6 (The Engineer and the World), and everything after shifts by one (Ethics PO8->PO7, Teamwork PO9->PO8, Communication PO10->PO9, Project Management PO11->PO10, Lifelong Learning PO12->PO11, with PO12 Entrepreneurship new). - ME 4011: the merge would have put CO1 and CO3 on the same PO, so CO3 (site analysis considering social, environmental and economic issues) takes PO6, and CO1 (working principles) moves to PO1 with its knowledge profile becoming WK3 instead of WK7, keeping it consistent with what PO1 cites. CO2->PO2, CO4->PO5, CO5->PO3 carry over unchanged; K5->WK5 and P1-P7->WP1-WP7. Each CO still maps exactly one PO. - ME 3106: maps only PO1 and PO2, identical in both versions, so the approved mapping carries over untouched; K3->WK3, K2->WK2, K6->WK6 and the P attributes become WP. Both v3 variants also tick PO INDICATORS per CO - the one feature only Version 3 offers - so the indicator tables now print in the Course Outline and the Course Specifications (e.g. ME 4011: CO1 PO1c, CO2 PO2a+PO2d, CO3 PO6a+PO6b+PO6f, CO4 PO5b+PO5c+PO5d, CO5 PO3a+PO3b+PO3d). Every ticked indicator belongs to that CO's mapped PO. The Version 2.2 samples are unchanged. No calculation changed. v2.08 — August 27, 2026 (feature) New card at the bottom of Data & Backup: "Save the App for Offline Use". One button saves the running application to your computer as a single, version-stamped HTML file (OBE_Course_Manager_v2.08.html) that opens in any modern browser with no internet, no installation and no account - useful for laboratory PCs, unreliable connectivity, or simply so the workflow never depends on a website staying up. A second button links to the newest build online. The app fetches its own source and verifies the file is complete before saving; a truncated or blocked response falls back to instructions for the browser's "Save Page As". When the app is already running from a local file, the button says so instead of pretending to download. Below the buttons, a caution note states plainly that this saves the APP, not the DATA: browser storage is kept separately per location, so a copy opened from your computer starts empty - carry courses across with Export ALL Courses (JSON), placed directly above, or by working on a data file, which opens in either copy. It also notes that an offline copy stays at the version saved, so it should be re-saved after a release. No calculation changed. v2.07 — August 27, 2026 (feature) Faulty action verbs in ALREADY-APPROVED Course Outcomes now reach the CQI loop instead of stopping at an on-screen warning. The CQI card was renamed "Outcome Quality & Coverage Gaps" and reports two categories: 1) Outcome wording - a CO whose main verb is not observable (know, understand, comprehend, appreciate, be aware of...). The suggested replacements are now matched to that CO's DECLARED Bloom level rather than offered as a generic list - an Understand-level CO is offered explain, interpret, classify, summarize, compare - and the finding carries a ready proposed statement built by swapping only the verb and keeping the content intact, e.g. "Comprehend the fundamentals of fluid mechanics." -> "Explain the fundamentals of fluid mechanics." - a CO whose verb belongs to a different Bloom level than the one declared (e.g. a "design" verb on an Apply-level outcome), reported within the same domain only. Each proposes wording for the action plan that names the approval route: revise for the next offering and submit through the departmental course-review process. The app never edits an approved outcome. 2) Complex-engineering coverage - the four checks introduced in v2.05, unchanged. "+ Add to action plan" appends the finding to Improvement actions (Course Report 6.1, row A), from where it prints in the CQI Report and carries into the next offering's Specifications 6.1 closure - so the correction is evidenced rather than silently applied. The red inline warning in the COs Section is unchanged: it guides COs being written now, while this card handles COs already approved. On both demo courses the finding fires honestly on CO1 ("Comprehend..."), taken verbatim from their approved outlines. No calculation changed. v2.06 — August 27, 2026 (fix) The "Complex-Engineering Coverage Gaps" card would not open. The shared fold handler re-renders the Section a card belongs to, and its lookup table had no entry for the CQI Section, so clicking the heading toggled the state and then re-rendered the T&L Section instead (the fallback) - leaving the CQI card visually unchanged. Added the missing cqi -> renderCQI entry. All other folded cards were unaffected. v2.05 — August 27, 2026 (feature + demo cohorts) 1) New CQI card: "Complex-Engineering Coverage Gaps". It compares what the assessment items actually exercise (P/A item tags, audit forms, open-ended labs) with what the approved Course Outline s14 claims, and reports four kinds of finding: - evidence without a claim (items tagged P1, P3... while the CO claims none - the coverage is invisible to an accreditation reader, who sees s14, not the item tags); - open-ended labs running while no CO claims any P attribute; - complex-activity (A) evidence with no home, because no CO maps the communication PO (PO10 in v2.2, PO9 in v3); - a higher-order (Analyse+) CO with neither a P claim nor P evidence - flagged for a deliberate decision, not as an error. Each finding states the evidence behind it and proposes ready-to-use wording for the next offering, with "+ Add to action plan" appending it to Improvement actions (Course Report 6.1, row A) in one click - so a mapping deficiency enters the CQI loop as a documented action instead of being quietly corrected. The app never edits an approved outline and never auto-ticks an attribute: whether a task is genuinely complex engineering remains the teacher's judgement. The s14 card in the COs Section carries a badge linking to the findings. On the two demo courses this fires honestly: ME 3106 shows three findings (CO2 assessed on P1-P4 and CO3 on P1 while s14 is K-only; three open-ended labs unclaimed; no PO10 in the approved mapping), and ME 4011 shows two (CO3 and CO4 carry P evidence while only CO5 claims P1-P7). 2) The sessional sample now loads as THREE offerings - Spring 2024, Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 - so Cohort Comparison works for it too. The documented Spring 2024 offering stays active. Later offerings are generated by lifting the students nearest below the pass threshold on CO2 and CO3, modelling the targeted actions recorded in the Spring 2024 CQI narrative (guided spreadsheet checkpoint, worked uncertainty example) rather than inflating a whole cohort's marks: CO2 rises 40% -> 50% -> 60%, crossing the target, and CO3 50% -> 60%. All marks stay within their item maxima. No calculation changed. v2.04 — August 27, 2026 (new sample) The sessional demo was replaced by a full, outline-faithful case. "Load Sample Sessional (demo)" now loads ME 3106 Fluid Mechanics Sessional (0.75 credit) built from its approved Course Outline: four COs exactly as approved (CO1 comprehend -> PO1; CO2 analyse -> PO2; CO3 apply -> PO2; CO4, Psychomotor, Guided Response P3 -> PO1), s14 K-profile claims per CO, and three fully worked open-ended labs (Venturimeter calibration under an unspecified flow schedule, an empirical V-notch discharge relation, and head-loss diagnosis in a mixed pipe assembly) - each with a complete CEP audit (complexity statement + every tagged P-attribute justified) and a generated rubric whose criterion weights sum exactly to that lab's marks. Ten students, 100 marks across lab reports/viva, the three OELs, attendance and a Lab Final with per-item Bloom levels and P-attribute tags. All 11 Sections and all 10 accreditation documents render populated. CO1's verb "Comprehend" triggers the measurable-verb alarm, matching the approved wording exactly. CO2 attains below target (40%), giving the CQI Section a genuine gap to close. Per your instruction, every CO/PO mapping, weight and wording taken from the approved outline is preserved unchanged. The one correction made: the four item-level EA (Complex Engineering Activity) tags and their audit justifications were removed, because CEA has no home here - the outline maps only PO1 and PO2, and OCM's convention keeps CEA claims exclusively with the communication PO (PO10 in v2.2). The CQI narrative's "P/A evidence" wording was corrected to "P evidence" to match. Rubric criteria were written in outline-neutral language (e.g. "Apparatus setup and measurement practice") rather than attribute names, so no rubric content needed to change. No calculation changed. v2.03 — August 27, 2026 (feature + new sample) 1) The built-in sample course was replaced by a full, outline-faithful case. "Load Sample Course (demo)" now loads ME 4011 Renewable Energy exactly as its approved Fall 2025 Course Outline defines it: the five COs verbatim (one PO each, weights 3), s14 attributes (CO5 = K5 + P1-P7, no CEA - no CO maps PO10), CP 10% / Quizzes 20% / Final 70%, the 14-week plan, the outline's six references as Learning Resources, 10 students with complete marks including choice- question blanks, survey tallies, feedback and resource ratings, an open question, and a filled CQI narrative. All accreditation documents generate filled-out. Deliberate teaching moments: CO1's verb "comprehend" triggers the measurable-verb alarm; Assignment #1 arrives with a completed CEP audit and rubric while Assignment #2 is blank for live demonstration; CO5 claims P1-P7 but items evidence a subset (the CA Section flags it) and CO5 attains 40% - below target. The sessional demo (ME 3120) is unchanged. 2) New Attainment sub-section: "Cohort Comparison". All courses in the browser sharing one course code are compared chronologically (AUST ordering: Spring precedes Fall within a year). Per-CO and per-PO tables show each offering's direct attainment with status badges and trend arrows against the previous offering, plus a grouped bar chart and student counts. COs are matched by position, with a caution note. With a single offering, the card explains how comparison arises (Duplicate for New Semester). No new data structure: cohorts are simply courses with the same code. 3) The sample loads as THREE offerings - Fall 2024, Spring 2025 and Fall 2025 - generated deterministically from the same data so the comparison tells the closing-the-loop story the CQI narrative describes: CO5 rises 20% -> 30% -> 40% and CO4 40% -> 50% -> 60% as the recorded actions take effect. No calculation changed; the comparison only reads what computeAttainment already produces. v2.02 — August 27, 2026 (citation audit) An independent citation audit of v2.01 was reviewed, verified against the app and merged. Nothing outside prose and references changed; every calculation, the data model and both demo courses are untouched (the v2.01 test suite passes in full). 1) Bibliography expanded from 20 to 31 references, each now carrying a DOI, ERIC, publisher, library or official-document link. New entries: Freeman et al. (2014), Prince & Felder (2006), de Jong et al. (2013), Gulikers et al. (2004), Panadero & Jonsson (2013), Wiggins (1990), Prados et al. (2005), Besterfield-Sacre et al. (2000), Spooren et al. (2013), Taylor et al. (2014), Webb (1997), Moen & Norman (2010). 2) Corrections to claims the app previously overstated: - The improvement cycle is attributed correctly: Deming used plan-do-study-act and credited Shewhart; the PDCA/PDSA lineage is cited through Moen & Norman (2010) and the systematic review by Taylor et al. (2014), not through "Out of the Crisis". - The virtual-laboratory note no longer claims an access/cost case from de Jong et al. (2013); that paper argues physical and virtual laboratories have complementary affordances. - Rubric reliability is qualified: design quality, exemplars and rater preparation drive reliability, not the existence of a rubric (Jonsson & Svingby, 2007; Panadero & Jonsson, 2013). - An unattributed Biggs quotation in the CA Section was replaced by a paraphrase with proper citations. - It is now stated that BAETE and the IEA do not prescribe universal KPI thresholds, an 80/20 weighting, or one mandatory attainment formula - those are institutional choices this app records. 3) Peer-reviewed scholarship and official standards are distinguished, so the guidance cards and the About Section now read "Evidence basis" rather than "Scholarly basis" where the cited set includes standards or professional guidance. 4) Three corrections applied on top of the audit: the author of the rubric reviews is Jonsson (no umlaut) in both entries; Bloom (1956) and de Jong et al. (2013) were re-cited so that no reference sits in the list uncited; and hard-coded "[n]" markers inside resource-pool prose were removed so reference numbering stays single-sourced and cannot go stale if the list is reordered. Reference links have not been opened from inside the app - spot-check a few before circulating the list externally. v2.01 — August 27, 2026 (demo correction + polish) 1) Learning domains fixed in the sample sessional. A lab course is largely skill- and conduct-based, so ME 3120 now spans all three Bloom domains: - CO1 (operate apparatus, acquire data) - Psychomotor, Mechanism (P4) - PO5 - CO2 (analyse data and uncertainty) - Cognitive, Analyze - PO4 - CO3 (design and conduct an experiment) - Cognitive, Create - PO3 (kept cognitive so the complex-problem expectations still apply to the open-ended labs) - CO4 (communicate through reports and viva-voce) - Psychomotor, Complex Overt Response (P5) - PO10, carries the CEA claim - CO5 (new) "Comply with laboratory safety rules and share responsibility for apparatus, data and teamwork during experimental sessions" - Affective, Valuing (A3) - PO9, assessed by a new "Lab conduct, safety & teamwork" item (5 marks) in the lab-report assessment. Each CO still maps exactly one PO, and item levels inherit their CO's domain, so the lab items now tag as P4/P5/A3 instead of cognitive levels. 2) The non-measurable-verb alarm is now red (text and the CO statement box border) instead of amber, matching its severity. No calculation changed. v2.00 — August 27, 2026 (feature + demo correction) 1) Demo courses now follow the strict convention: each CO maps exactly ONE PO (and each PO belongs to one CO); CEA stays only with the communication PO. - ME 4011: CO1-PO1, CO2-PO2, CO3-PO3, CO4-PO10. - ME 3120 gains a communication CO4 ("Communicate experimental procedures and findings of complex engineering activities...") mapped to PO10 with the A1/A3 claim; CO1-PO5, CO2-PO4, CO3-PO3. OEL-1 now has a report-and-defense item (OEL1-R, under CO4) carrying the EA evidence, and the viva's defense question moved under CO4 - the worked audit exemplar is unchanged in content. 2) The CO-PO Mapping Matrix now shows each CO's statement, copied read-only from the Course Outcomes table (edit there; the matrix follows). 3) Measurable-verb alarm. A CO statement opening with a non-measurable verb - know / have knowledge of, understand / comprehend / grasp, learn, appreciate, be aware of, be familiar with, think (critically), believe / realize / be interested in, undertake / engage in - gets an amber border and an inline warning naming why the verb is hard to measure and which observable verbs to prefer (e.g., understand -> explain, interpret, compare, classify, predict, apply), ending with the test "can students produce something observable that demonstrates this outcome?". Lead-ins like "Students will be able to..." are ignored when detecting the main verb. The warning cites the learning-outcomes literature and never blocks saving. 4) Four new references (17-20): Popenici & Millar (2015); Brabrand & Dahl (2009); Harden (2002); Hussey & Smith (2008). The COs guidance card and the About Section's basis entry now cite them. No calculation changed. v1.99 — August 27, 2026 (feature + demo correction) 1) Demo-course corrections. Both demo courses now follow two conventions: each PO is claimed by exactly one CO, and CEA (A/EA) claims sit only with the communication PO (PO10 under v2.2; PO9 under v3). - ME 4011 gains a fourth CO ("Communicate the design process and outcomes of complex engineering activities...") mapped to PO10, which now carries the A1/A3 claim; the Project's report-and-presentation item moved under it with the EA item tags, and the stray EA tag on a Final Exam design question was removed. Maps: CO1-PO1, CO2-PO2+PO4, CO3-PO3+PO5, CO4-PO10. - ME 3120 remaps to CO1-PO5, CO2-PO4, CO3-PO3+PO10; CO3 legitimately keeps its CEA claim. 2) New "About" Section (last in the navigation), giving the app its scholarly basis: - About card: purpose, copyright, license, links. - Methodological Basis card: one entry per Section explaining what it implements and on whose work - outcome-based education (Spady), constructive alignment (Biggs; Biggs & Tang), Bloom's three domains (Bloom; Anderson & Krathwohl; Krathwohl et al.; Simpson), IEA Graduate Attributes and the BAETE manual, outcome assessment practice (Felder & Brent), rubric validity (Jonsson & Svingby; Brookhart), laboratory education and open-ended labs (Feisel & Rosa), student feedback (Richardson), backward design (Wiggins & McTighe), and the plan-do-check-act cycle (Deming). - References card: 16 numbered, verifiable sources; clicking a bracketed citation anywhere jumps to and highlights the reference. 3) Every Section's guidance card now ends with a "Scholarly basis: [n] [n] - see the About Section" line linking into the reference list, so each option in the app carries a citation without cluttering the working screens. No calculation changed. v1.98 — August 27, 2026 (feature) 1) New assessment type "Final Report" (listed after Final Exam). Marks grid, CSV and weights handle it like any other type. 2) The CEP & CEA audit forms and the Rubric generator now cover six types: Project, Assignment, Final Report, Presentation, Viva and Lab/Sessional (previously Project/Assignment for audits). Both printables and the student print sheets follow. 3) Open-ended labs. Lab/Sessional assessments gain an "Open-ended lab" checkbox and a task-statement box (the problem posed to students). Flagged labs show an "Open-ended" badge throughout; the task statement prints on the student rubric sheet ("Your task"), the student CEP/CEA sheet, and the audit printable. Generate Rubric seeds OEL-specific criteria (problem formulation & experiment design, student-developed methodology, data collection & analysis, interpretation & validity, safety & resource use, communication) instead of generic CO lines. The audit card nudges - but never auto- ticks - the attributes an OEL almost always exercises (P1/P3 and A1/A3, or WP/EA under Version 3), noting that open-ended labs are prime Annexure-H evidence. 4) New button "Load Sample Sessional (demo)": ME 3120 Fluid Mechanics Sessional - six standard experiments, lab quiz, viva, and two open-ended labs: OEL-1 (loss coefficient of an unfamiliar fitting) arrives fully worked - task statement, four justified attributes, six-criterion rubric with two rows of complete descriptors - while OEL-2 (nozzle geometry vs jet impact force) is deliberately blank so the checkbox, nudge, audit and rubric generation can be demonstrated live. No calculation changed. v1.97 — August 27, 2026 (feature) Rubric sub-section: 1) Performance levels are now fully editable in number, not just in name: "+ Add Level" appends a column (up to six) and each level header carries a delete button (minimum two levels; deleting removes that descriptor cell from every criterion, with confirmation when cells contain text). New criteria adopt the current number of levels, and the AI prompt, the printable Assessment Rubrics document and the weights check all follow the dynamic level count. 2) "Print / Share with Students" buttons. Each rubric card and each CEP & CEA audit card gains a print button that opens a formatted, self-contained sheet in a new window (no external resources; print or save as PDF from there): - Rubric sheet - teal title band, course/assessment header, marks badge per criterion, level columns shaded green to amber, and a short note telling students how to read it. - CEP & CEA sheet - "Why This Is Complex Engineering": complexity statement in a highlighted panel, then each attribute with its official descriptor and where it appears in the task. The auditor-styled documents under Accreditation Documents are unchanged. No calculation changed. v1.96 — August 27, 2026 (feature + fix) 1) Comprehensive sample course. "Load Sample Course" now demonstrates the complex-engineering features end to end: - COs mapped to Knowledge Profile and CEP/CEA attributes (CO1: K1,K3 · CO2: K2-K4 + P1 · CO3: K4-K6 + P1-P3 + A1,A3). Stored numerically, so one flip of the framework selector relabels everything K/P/A <-> WK/WP/EA live. - A Design Project (Solar-Wind Hybrid System, 20 marks) with a fully worked CEP & CEA audit form (complexity statement + five justifications) and a pre-built rubric (7 criteria, weights summing to the marks, two criteria with complete level descriptors) - a finished exemplar. - An Assignment (Wind Resource Assessment) tagged P1 but with audit and rubric left blank - fill them live in a demo. - Several questions in the Mid Term and Final Exam carry P/A tags; some Analyze-level items are deliberately left untagged so the amber "expected" badge and the CA claim-vs-evidence checks have something to show. The Final Exam Vetting Form with CEP/CEA prints non-empty. - Mid Term problem items relabelled Prob1/Prob2 so question labels no longer collide with P-attribute names. 2) Fix: the "P/WP expected" badge for Analyze+ items never appeared, because item levels store Bloom names ("Analyze") while the check looked for C-tags ("C4"). The check now understands both. No calculation changed. v1.95 — August 27, 2026 (feature) 1) Official Version 2.2 descriptor texts. K1-K8 (Knowledge Profile), P1-P7 (Complex Engineering Problem Solving) and A1-A5 (Complex Engineering Activities) now carry the official BAETE v2.2 wording, verbatim, exactly as Version 3 already carried its WK/WP/EA texts. This fills the previously blank "Official descriptor" column in the CEP & CEA audit forms for v2.2 courses, and lights up the tooltips in the s14 attributes matrix and the per-item attribute matrices. Texts are official and must not be reworded. 2) New printable: "Final Exam Vetting Form with CEP/CEA" in the Accreditation Documents Section, generated for each Final Exam assessment. Auto-filled question analysis (question, CO, Bloom level, marks, CEP/CEA attributes; choice questions daggered), a coverage summary (COs covered and missing, marks per CO, Bloom distribution, exercised CEP/CEA attributes with their official descriptors) and an automatic gateway warning when P1/WP1 - the defining characteristic of a complex engineering problem - is absent from the paper. The vetting checklist and sign-off block (Course Teacher, two Vetting Committee members, Head of the Department) are completed by hand: the app pre-fills the evidence so the committee only judges, not transcribes. The original Final Exam Vetting Form is unchanged. No calculation changed. v1.94 — August 27, 2026 (feature) Two new Assessments sub-sections completing the complex- engineering evidence chain (claims in s14 -> tags on items -> now the narratives and the grading instruments): 1) CEP & CEA - audit forms for Projects and Assignments. Each lists the WP/EA attributes its items carry (official v3 descriptors alongside), with a justification box per attribute ("where and how does this project exercise WP2?") and an overall complexity statement; a badge counts justified attributes. Untagged assessments point back to the per-item matrix. Prints as the new "CEP & CEA Audit Forms" document. 2) Rubric - an analytic-rubric generator for Assignment / Project / Presentation / Viva. One click seeds criteria from the assessment's COs and its WP/EA tags (e.g., WP2 -> "Handling conflicting requirements", EA3 -> "Innovation in the solution") plus report quality, weights split over the assessment's marks. Everything is editable in place - criteria, weights, the four performance-level names and every descriptor cell - with a weights-vs-marks mismatch badge, "+ Add Criterion", regenerate, and a "Copy AI Prompt (rubric descriptors)" button that carries the full context for drafting observable level descriptors. Generating a rubric ticks "Rubric prepared" honestly. Prints as the new "Assessment Rubrics" document. Both printables joined the Accreditation Documents Section. No calculation changed. v1.93 — August 27, 2026 (feature) Per-item complex-attribute (WP/EA) tagging - the evidence behind the s14 claims. Every assessment card gains a collapsed "Complex attributes per item" tick MATRIX (rows = CO-tagged items; columns WP1-WP7 | EA1-EA5 under Version 3, P/A under v2.2; official v3 descriptors as tooltips). Tagged items show a compact chip ("WP1,3 - EA3") beside their Bloom level. STRONG SUGGESTION: a Cognitive C4+ (Analyze / Evaluate / Create) item with no WP tags carries a persistent amber "WP expected" badge - tag the attributes or reconsider the level. Never a block. (Affective/Psychomotor excluded for now.) Claim <-> evidence checks in the CA Section: (a) C4+ items without WP tags are aggregated per CO; (b) an attribute declared for a CO in s14 that NO item carries is flagged as "a claim without evidence"; (c) inside the matrix, an item tagging an attribute its CO does not declare gets a soft hint. The Specifications 5.1 Assessment Blueprint gains a "Complex Attributes" column whenever any item is tagged, putting the evidence trail in the accreditation file. Class Performance items are excluded (no authored questions). No calculation changed. v1.92 — August 27, 2026 (minor) Two interface refinements from faculty feedback on v1.91: 1) The Section-14 attribute card is now a tick MATRIX in the CO-PO mapping idiom: one row per CO, grouped column heads (Knowledge Profile WK1-WK9 | Complex Problem Solving WP1-WP7 | Complex Activities EA1-EA5 under Version 3; K/P/A under v2.2), each cell a click-to-toggle checkmark with the official v3 descriptor as the column tooltip. Selected attributes are now unmistakable at a glance. Write-through, hints and printing unchanged. 2) Survey items are edited IN PLACE: the Statement cell of the CO tally grid and the Block-B label cells are themselves the edit boxes - type over the auto wording; clearing the box (or retyping the original) reverts to auto; overridden items carry an "edited" badge and a one-click reset. The open-ended questions list now sits visibly below the survey grids (where it appears on the printed form) and the separate "Survey wording & open questions" editor is gone. Printed form, CSV template, Google Form script and CQI prompt citations all follow automatically; attainment stays keyed to the CO. v1.91 — August 27, 2026 (feature) 1) Section 14 mapping card (COs & CO-PO Mapping, below the matrix): tick, per CO, the Knowledge Profile, Complex Problem and Complex Activity attributes as chips. STRICTLY WK1-WK9 / WP1-WP7 / EA1-EA5 under Framework Version 3 (official BAETE v3 descriptors as hover tooltips) and K1-K8 / P1-P7 / A1-A5 under Version 2.2. Selections write through to the existing free-text fields, so Course Outline s14, the CQI 3.8 table and the AI prompts work unchanged; switching frameworks relabels the strings. Two soft hints: WP2-WP7 without the WP1 gateway (complexity requires WP1 plus others), and mapped POs whose cited WKs are unticked (v3 only, per the official PO texts). s14's printed headers and placeholders follow the framework. 2) Survey wording & open questions (Attainment -> Survey): every auto-generated item is editable - per-CO wording overrides (attainment stays keyed to the CO), Block-B feedback wording, and a list of custom OPEN-ENDED questions (add / edit / reorder / delete; the two former fixed questions are pre-seeded). Open questions print on the survey form; each carries an optional "Summary of responses" box whose text is cited by the CQI AI prompts, bringing qualitative student voice into the narratives. 3) Google Form generator: "Download Google Form Script (.gs)" produces a ready-to-paste Google Apps Script that builds the entire survey as a Google Form in the teacher's own account (script.google.com -> New project -> paste -> Run once; the log prints the share and edit links). Item titles exactly match the CSV-import conventions (CO1:, FB-key:, Resource: title), so the response sheet's CSV imports straight back. No server, no OAuth, nothing leaves the device - the file is generated locally. v1.90 — August 20, 2026 (minor) Folding extended to the last three requested places: - Topic-wise T&L Plan folds to "N topic(s) - H planned hour(s) - M CO-tagged", surfacing untagged topics at a glance. - Both "Suggested Modifications" working-notes boxes (T&L and Assessments) fold, their status saying whether notes exist ("Notes recorded - act on them below..." / "Empty - open to copy the AI prompt..."). - The CA Section's per-CO blocks fold to CO number, Bloom badge and ALIGNMENT badge plus the first line of the statement and the number of pending suggestions - the collapsed CA view is now an alignment scoreboard for the whole course (uniform collapsed; the course-level triangle stays visible on top). All use the shared heading-click caret idiom; presentation only. v1.89 — August 20, 2026 (minor) Folded-card audit completed - every collapsible card now speaks one visual language. Newly folded (collapsed by default, with a live status line): the T&L Resources and Activities Summary Tables ("6 resource(s) registered...", "5 adopted activities..."), the T&L Resource Pool and Activity Pool cards in Data & Backup ("16 resource kinds - 2 custom - click to browse or extend"), and the "Recommendations per CO" explainer (its pool-browser button appears only while open; the per-CO cards work either way). Converted from the old "Show / edit" button style to the heading-click caret idiom: PO Indicators, the Learning Resources register, and the CQI Inputs cards. Deliberately NOT folded, as before: sole-occupant cards (Topic-wise Plan, the Attainment cards, Assessment Summary), data-entry forms (Course Info, COs, Students & Marks, suggestion boxes), the Dashboard, and every printable document. Presentation only - no data or calculation changed. v1.88 — August 20, 2026 (minor) The folded-card idiom of the CQI Section now also declutters the two remaining long views: - Assessments: every assessment card collapses to its name and a live status line ("20 marks - 2 item(s) - 1 choice question(s) - rubric pending"; Class Performance shows total and per-CO share). Collapsed by default; a just-added assessment opens automatically; an open card carries a collapse button beside its name (the header stays editable, so it does not toggle on click). - T&L, Planning per CO: each CO's recommendation card collapses to "N activities adopted - top suggestion: ..." and opens on a heading click. Independent toggles, remembered while the app is open, never printed. Deliberately NOT folded: Course Info, COs, Marks and the Documents Section (short, or continuous data entry where hiding the form would hurt). No data or calculation changed. v1.87 — August 20, 2026 (cosmetic) The copyright line everywhere now carries the author's page: "(c) 2026 Prof. Mazharul Islam (mazhar17.github.io/MI)" - a live link in the app footer and the About card, plain text in the change log, README, release notes, both workflow infographics, the Attainment Methodology guide and the old-address redirect page. v1.86 — August 20, 2026 (minor) CQI Section: the six content cards (Step 1 Low Attainment, Step 2 BAETE 3.8, Steps 3-4 BAETE 5.4.3, Stakeholder Register, Annexure H, Finish) now COLLAPSE to their headings, collapsed by default - so the whole diagnose -> describe -> decide -> close pipeline is visible on one screen. Each collapsed card carries a live one-line status ("2 of 4 narratives written", "3 of 5 action rows filled - 1 closure note", "4 of N evidence items ticked"), turning the collapsed view into a progress board. Clicking a heading toggles that card only (independent toggles, so Step 1's analyses can stay open while writing the 3.8 narratives); the Copy AI Prompt buttons inside headings still work without toggling. The sticky "Jump to" bar auto-expands the target card before scrolling. The Loop-at-a-Glance map and the intro stay always visible. Presentation only - no data or calculation changed. v1.85 — August 20, 2026 (stage 2 of 2) Sub-sections completed. T&L is now four sub-sections (Planning per CO | Learning Resources | Topic-wise Plan | Summary Tables) and Assessments two (Assessment Plan | Summary & Tips), joining Attainment and Data & Backup from stage 1. CQI deliberately stays one page so the diagnose -> describe -> decide -> close pipeline remains visible; instead it gains a STICKY "Jump to" bar (Steps 1, 2, 3-4, Stakeholders, Annexure H, Finish) that scrolls smoothly to each stage and never prints. Wording: the word "create" was removed from the app's own prose (buttons, toasts, dialogs, hints, guidance) in favour of context-fitting words - "+ Add a Course", "Set up assessments", "Prepare a copy...", "New data file saved". Two things were deliberately preserved verbatim and MUST remain so: the Bloom's taxonomy level "Create" (C6), and the official PO Indicator texts of Framework Version 3. No calculation, dataset or document content changed in either stage. v1.84 — August 20, 2026 (stage 1 of 2) Sections and sub-sections. The eleven top-level areas are now called SECTIONS throughout the interface (about 100 user-facing strings updated; the guidance cards are titled "What to do in this Section" / "What this Section shows"). Long Sections gain a pill bar of SUB-SECTIONS placed below the guidance card, so the content no longer requires long scrolling: Attainment -> Direct-CO | Direct-PO | Survey (Indirect) | Combined Data & Backup -> File & Backups | Pools | Danger Zone & About The active sub-section is remembered while the app is open, the bar is hidden in print, and charts redraw on every switch. The attainment mathematics, survey tallies and all data are entirely unaffected — this is presentation only. Stage 2 (planned): sub-sections for T&L and Assessments, and a sticky step-navigation for CQI (kept one page so the diagnose -> describe -> decide -> close pipeline stays visible). v1.83 — August 19, 2026 (major) OBE Framework selector (Course Info, per course). Version 2.2 -- the default -- is exactly the app as it has always been: the current 12 POs, no indicators; existing courses are untouched. Version 3 activates the updated 12-PO set (BAETE / IEA-WA 2021 alignment: PO6 The Engineer and the World, PO7 Ethics, PO8 Individual and Collaborative Teamwork, PO9 Communication, PO10 Project Management and Finance, PO11 Lifelong Learning, PO12 Entrepreneurship; PO5 stays Modern Tool Usage) together with the official 46 PO Indicators, lettered per PO (PO1a...PO1d, PO2a... PO2e, ... PO12a-PO12b). Under v3 a collapsed "PO Indicators (optional)" card appears below the CO-PO matrix: tick which indicator(s) of each mapped PO a CO addresses -- ticking an indicator auto-ticks its parent PO, unticking a PO clears its indicators. Documentary only: no calculation, CSV or attainment figure changes. Each course gets its own editable copy of the indicator list (edit text, add, delete with automatic re-lettering and re-pointing of CO ticks, or reset to the official list); the copy travels in backups and Duplicate for New Semester. When v3 is active and at least one indicator is ticked, a "Mapping of COs with PO Indicators" table (plus a legend of the referenced indicator texts) prints on the Course Outline (after section 13) and the Course Specifications (after 3.1). Switching frameworks on a mapped course shows a one-time warning that PO6-PO12 mean different things in the two sets, and the choice flows to matrix headers, tooltips, legend, attainment tables, documents and AI prompts via a single lookup. v1.82 — August 16, 2026 (feature) Every tab now opens with a short guidance card: "What to do in this tab" (Dashboard: "What this tab shows"), collapsed by default behind a one-line summary and a caret. Expanding it shows 4-5 concrete, plain-English instructions -- including the traps people actually fall into (an untagged assessment item silently drops out of a CO's attainment; a wrong credit-hours figure can distort program-level results with no error shown; re-importing a survey CSV without clearing tallies double-counts responses; Replace List removes marks for any student missing from the pasted list; a CQI finding needs an action, an owner and a date before it can be closed) -- plus a colour-coded "what comes in / what you do here / what comes out" diagram, stacking vertically under 760px width. Tabs are grouped by stage of the semester: indigo for setup (Dashboard, Course Info, COs), teal for in-semester work (T&L, Assessments, CA, Marks), amber for end-of-semester attainment and CQI, crimson for Documents and Data & Backup. The guidance is excluded from printing, so it never appears in an exported course file, PDF or report. Purely additive: one data table plus one small injector function called after each tab renders -- no existing render function, style, or calculation was touched (verified line-by-line against the prior release: 121 lines added, zero removed, zero replaced). v1.81 — August 15, 2026 (cosmetic) The in-app footer now carries the app's address instead of the first-release date: "OBE Course Manager v1.81 (mazhar17.github.io/ocm)", the short address opening in a new tab. Anyone who receives a printed document or a shared screenshot can therefore find the tool itself. The README title and the Faculty Manual cover/footer follow the same pattern. v1.80 — July 24, 2026 (bug fix) CSV template/export headers showed "undefined::Q1" for item labels that appear in more than one assessment (e.g., Q1 in several quizzes). Cause: the new shared column model passed raw items to the header builder without the assessment-name decoration that the qualified "Assessment::Item" form needs. Headers now render correctly ("Quiz 1::Q1"), unique labels stay short, the Class Performance column is named after its assessment, and import maps all of them back to the right items. v1.79 — July 23, 2026 (feature) New assessment type: Class Performance (CP). CP has no authored questions - set its Total marks (default 10) and tick the Related COs; the total is divided EQUALLY among the ticked COs (exact 4-decimal shares, e.g. 10/3 = 3.3333), with each internal per-CO item inheriting that CO's Bloom level. In Students & Marks a CP assessment shows ONE column: enter a single CP mark per student (decimals and fractions accepted) and it is distributed equally across the ticked COs - every CO receives the same percentage. The raw CP mark is preserved, so re-ticking COs or changing the total re-splits without losing entries. CSV template/export/ import carry one column per CP assessment (named after it). Courses taught in parts add one CP assessment per part, each with its own teacher, total and COs. Attainment, documents, summary tables and AI prompts consume the per-CO items unchanged. Type list reordered: Class Performance first; "Class Test" retired for new assessments (existing ones keep working and still show their type). Switching an assessment's type into or out of CP asks for confirmation and rebuilds its structure. v1.78 — July 20, 2026 (minor) Learning Resources register: choosing a Type now filters the Title suggestions to only the T&L Resource Pool entries of that Type (each row has its own suggestion list, refreshed the moment the Type changes). Type "Other" shows the full pool as an escape hatch; free-typed titles are always accepted. Picking a pool entry still prefills a practical tip. Topic-wise T&L Plan: the blue auto-filled T&L Method chips are now deselectable per topic — click x to deselect for that topic only (the activity stays adopted everywhere else); the dimmed chip's + restores it, as does typing its name into "add for this topic". Mirrors the Resources column behaviour. Deselections travel with backups, Duplicate for New Semester, and name-matched Topics CSV re-imports. The Resources column's empty state is now context-aware: it says "tick the related CO(s)" when the topic has none, and "no register resources tagged with these CO(s)" when the CO join finds nothing — explaining the two-sided tick mechanism. Manual and both workflow infographics updated accordingly. v1.77 — July 19, 2026 (bug fix) T&L Resources Summary Table no longer shows empty Description/Tip columns for practically-named resources. Cause: lookups matched only by exact pool TITLE, but real registers use specific names ("PDF Slides", "NotebookLM pages for Different Topics") with the Type set correctly. The lookup now falls back on the entry's Type (every pool entry declares the register Type it prefills, giving a two-way map). Precedence: title-matched pool entry → your own register Notes (for the tip) → type-matched pool entry. The "free-text" badge now appears only when neither title nor type matches anything. Documents regenerated with v1.77 stamps. v1.76 — July 19, 2026 (minor) Course Evaluation Survey enriched beyond CO evaluation (per discussion). The CO block is untouched and remains the ONLY input to indirect attainment — everything below is separate evidence: - Block B: six standard course-feedback Likert items, each toggleable to keep forms short — activities helped me learn; resources supported my learning; assessments matched what was taught (student-perceived constructive alignment); marking criteria/rubrics clear in advance; feedback timely and useful; pace and workload manageable. Tally grid with n / average / % ≥ 4 in the Attainment tab, marked "not part of attainment". - Block C (toggleable): one usefulness item per registered Learning Resource — real usage evidence for keeping, revising or dropping resources. - Printable survey form gains the "About the course" block, the resource-usefulness block, and two open questions (best aspect; one suggested improvement). The CSV template adds the new columns (FB-… and Resource: …); import maps them and stays backward-compatible with CO-only files. - Course Report 5.1 gains an "Additional course feedback" table (item, n, avg, % ≥ 4) when responses exist. - All AI prompts receive a "COURSE FEEDBACK (survey, non-CO items)" block with a usage rule: alignment/rubric/pace items corroborate or challenge narratives and actions; per-resource ratings justify resource decisions. - Duplicate for New Semester clears all survey tallies but keeps the item toggles (they are design, not results). - Manual and README regenerated with v1.76 stamps. v1.75 — July 19, 2026 (minor) Resources woven through the tab, the pools and the prompts: - New "T&L Resources Summary Table" in the T&L tab, directly before the Activities Summary Table: every registered resource with its type, pool-sourced Brief Description and Practical Tip (register Notes when no pool tip), and Related CO from the tags; unmatched titles carry a "free-text" badge. - Data & Backup: the T&L Resource Pool card now precedes the T&L Activity Pool card, matching the T&L tab's resources-first order. - Task-level resource instructions added to the prompts (the data was already included; now the AI is told what to do with it): narratives cite resources as delivery evidence; Report 6.1 actions may add/revise/integrate resources by name; the closure prompt counts resources added this offering as IMPLEMENTED actions; the scoped T&L and assessment prompts name a suitable supporting resource per suggestion (rubric banks on the assessment side). Instructions appear only when resources exist. - "📋 Copy resource list (for LMS posting)" in the register — formatted titles, links and CO tags for pasting into Google Classroom / Moodle / a course email. - Link-rot insurance: each register entry carries a Verified date (stamped on creation, re-stamped with ✓); after six months an amber "verify" badge appears. Manual and README regenerated with v1.75 stamps. v1.74 — July 19, 2026 (minor) T&L Resource Pool (from the reviewed Excel selection): - New curated pool of 16 resource KINDS in Data & Backup, beside the T&L Activity Pool — sorted most-common-first, opening with the newly added "Lecture Slides". The 15 entries kept in the review (incl. the "Virtual Labs" rename) follow: recorded lectures, Google Classroom, NotebookLM companion, interactive e-modules, spreadsheet templates, Q&A forum, interactive video, Colab/Jupyter, PhET, Virtual Labs, MIT OCW, datasheets, standards & codes, rubric banks, e-portfolios. Each carries category, description, engineering-education justification, practical tip and suggested activity pairing. - The Learning Resources register's Title box now autocompletes from the pool; picking an entry prefills the register Type and a practical tip (into empty Notes) — you add your own link and CO tags. Register Type list extended (simulation tool, computational tool, OER, standards/datasheets, forum, e-portfolio). - Custom pool resources can be added in Data & Backup (name, category, type, description, tip); they travel in JSON backups for departmental sharing, like custom activities. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.74 stamps. v1.73 — July 19, 2026 (minor) Learning Resources linked to COs and auto-copied into the topic plan (per discussion): - The register's free-text "Related topic/CO" field is replaced by Related COs tick-chips (existing text migrates into Notes). Tag a resource with its CO(s) once and it flows automatically into the Resources column of the Topic-wise T&L Plan for every topic ticked with those COs (blue chips). - Per-topic deselection: an auto resource can be deselected for a specific topic (× on the blue chip) — it dims to a grey chip with a + to restore, so exclusions stay visible. Manual green chips work as before; typing an excluded auto title restores it instead of duplicating. Exclusions persist through Duplicate for New Semester and the Topics CSV re-import. - Course Outline 17.3's last column is now "Related CO(s)" (from the tags), and all AI prompts report resources with their CO labels plus each topic's EFFECTIVE resource list (auto minus deselected plus manual). - Manual and README regenerated with v1.73 stamps. v1.72 — July 19, 2026 (minor) Learning Resources register (per discussion): - New "Learning Resources shared with students" card in the T&L tab, placed directly before the Topic-wise T&L Plan, collapsed by default with a one-line summary. Entries: Type (slides, LMS course site, companion site e.g. NotebookLM, interactive infographic/e-module, video, rubric, tip sheet, other), Title, Link/location, Related topic/CO, Notes. Links only — the LMS stays the host. Kept by ⟳ Duplicate for New Semester; travels in backups. - Topic-wise T&L Plan gains a rightmost "Resources" column: per-topic resource chips with autocomplete from the register (removable; preserved by the Topics CSV re-import). - All AI prompts (the four CQI steps and the two scoped ones) now include a "LEARNING RESOURCES PROVIDED TO STUDENTS" block — register entries plus the per-topic plan — and the low-attainment prompt is told to consider whether weak topics were supported by resources. - Prints as Course Outline 17.3 (Type/Title/Link/Related) only when the register is non-empty; new Annexure H checklist item for the learning-resource register. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.72 stamps. v1.71 — July 19, 2026 (minor) CQI prompts fully decomposed and placed where they act: - The "5.4.3 action plans" prompt is split in two: "📋 (Report 6.1 actions)" drafts only the five forward-looking action rows (for the NEXT offering, from this offering's evidence, chained to the pasted analyses/narratives/working notes); "📋 (Spec 6.1 closure)" drafts only the backward-looking "how they were reflected" column (exactly five labelled blocks with the distribution and fallback rules), needs no marks and can be run any time once implementations begin — it declines with a toast when Specifications 6.1 has no previous recommendations. - Every prompt button now lives in the heading of the section it fills: Low Attainment Analysis (Step 1), Narratives (Step 2), the Report 6.1 actions table (Step 3) and the Specifications 6.1 closure table (Step 4). The workflow reads diagnose → describe → decide → close, stated in the intro card and Dashboard step 8. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.71 stamps. v1.70 — July 19, 2026 (minor) Terminology and T&L pool expansion (per discussion + Module 4 TLA): - "Optional" items are now called "choice questions" everywhere a user reads them — the AUST final-exam pattern ("answer any 5 of 7") is a compulsory set with internal choice, not optional content. Renamed across the Assessments tab (checkbox tooltip, ⚙ Advanced texts, table header), marks grid, CA tab, summary tables, Vetting Form footnote, Direct CO-PO method notes, and ALL five AI prompts. Data model unchanged — old files unaffected. - New AI-prompt rule (all prompts): on choice questions, a low attempt rate is question/topic avoidance — a perceived-difficulty CQI signal — never disengagement. - "Activity Pool" renamed "T&L Activity Pool" everywhere. - Five new built-in activities (pool now 36), each with description and practical tips: Traditional classroom lecture; Inductive teaching & learning (Prince & Felder 2006); In-class group discussion; Guided inquiry session; Just-in-time teaching (JiTT). Manual Appendix A extended with justifications. - T&L tab: a collapsed "▸ Browse the full T&L Activity Pool (36)" toggle beside Recommendations per CO opens a read-only reference table (activity · Bloom · mode/size · description · tip). - Attainment_Calculation_Methodology.docx terminology aligned ("choice questions"). Manual and README regenerated with v1.70 stamps. Post-release audit (July 19): manual gap-fixes (Appendix intro count 31→36, pool-browser and avoidance-rule mentions added, version reference in prose removed); both workflow infographics (portrait + widescreen) updated to v1.70 — CQI card now reads "diagnose → describe → decide: 3 AI prompts in order", Assessments card mentions choice questions (k of n). Regenerate the PNGs via svg_to_png.html. v1.69 — July 18, 2026 (minor) Five improvements (fraction input + colleague feedback): - Marks Entry cells, the assessment items' Max marks field and the marks CSV import now accept decimals (1.67), fractions (2/3) and mixed numbers (1 2/3). Fractions are an input convenience: the value is stored, shown and computed as a decimal (4 places). Unreadable input is rejected with a toast and the cell reverts. - Assessments and their items can be reordered with ▲▼ buttons; the order flows to the marks grid, CSV export, vetting form and blueprint. Safe: marks are keyed by item id. - Marks CSV headers are now short where unambiguous (just the item label, e.g. "PartA_CO5"), qualified only where labels collide ("Quiz 1::Q1"); import accepts the new short, the qualified and the legacy "Assessment :: Item" forms. - Combined-attainment weights can no longer exceed 100%: only the Direct weight is editable (Course Info and the Combined Attainment card); Indirect is always 100 − Direct, shown read-only, and any stored pair not summing to 100 is corrected on load. - Printable documents: empty in-place-editable mapping fields — the A/P Bloom dropdowns (Outline §13, Specifications 3.1) and the K/P/A inputs (Outline §14) — now print as an em-dash (—) instead of an empty dotted box. Screen behavior unchanged; hand-fill blanks (signatures, dates, comments) still print as blanks. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.69 stamps. v1.68 — July 18, 2026 (minor) CQI tab intro tidied and the print button moved to the finish line: - The intro card no longer mentions the CQI Report three times; it now states the two criteria, the diagnose → describe → decide work order, and the ⛓ shared-data note, ending with a single pointer to the report at the bottom of the tab. - "🖨 Open Printable CQI Report (Annexure H)" moved from the top of the tab to a new closing card after the Annexure H checklist — printing is the last act of the workflow, so the button's position now marks the finish line (mirroring how ⟳ Duplicate ends the Dashboard workflow). - Manual and README regenerated with v1.68 stamps. v1.67 — July 18, 2026 (bug fix) Marks Entry frozen header fixed: the second header row (item labels) pinned itself mid-table instead of directly below the first row. Cause: the offset measured the first header CELL, but the #/Student ID/Name cells span both header rows (rowspan=2), so the measured height was the whole header. Now the first header ROW is measured instead, and the offset re-measures on window resize (zoom-proof). Documents regenerated with v1.67 stamps. v1.66 — July 17, 2026 (minor) Two improvements per feedback: - Students & Marks: the Marks Entry grid is now its own scroll box (max ~70% of the window) with a frozen header — both header rows (assessment names and item labels) stay visible while scrolling down — and frozen #, Student ID and Name columns that stay visible while scrolling right through many items. - The low-attainment AI prompt is now tiered instead of covering only not-attained COs: Tier 1 (not attained) gets the full (a)/(b)/(c) diagnosis as before; Tier 2 (attained but borderline — below KPI + 15 points, or carrying an item whose class average is below the pass marks) gets brief 1-2-sentence preventive "improvement watch" notes per box; Tier 3 (strongly attained) gets one collective no-action sentence, with the AI explicitly told not to invent improvements. The button now blocks only when every CO is strongly attained. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.66 stamps. v1.65 — July 17, 2026 (minor) CQI workflow made strictly diagnose-first (per discussion): - Card order is now Low Attainment Analysis → BAETE 3.8 → BAETE 5.4.3 (then Stakeholder Register and Annexure H). The AI prompts renumber accordingly: Step 1 = low-attainment analysis, Step 2 = 3.8 narratives, Step 3 = 5.4.3 action plans. The intro card notes that the printable CQI Report re-arranges everything into BAETE's reading order automatically. - The recorded low-attainment findings now flow into the two scoped prompts, lens-matched: the T&L tab's "Suggested Modifications" prompt receives the (a) w.r.t.-T&L findings, the Assessments tab's receives the (b) w.r.t.-assessment findings (each plus the overall comments), and every listed finding must be addressed by at least one suggestion or explicitly deferred with a reason. Those prompts now also run when only a Low Attainment Analysis is recorded (previously they required Specifications 6.1 entries). - The 3.8 narratives prompt marks the analyses as Step-1 input and requires narrative 2 to engage critically with the diagnosed causes; the 5.4.3 prompt's consistency rule now names the working notes too ("the plans are the conclusion of those earlier steps"). - Low Attainment card hint documents where its (a)/(b) findings flow; Dashboard step 8 updated. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.65 stamps. v1.64 — July 17, 2026 (minor) CQI tab restructured to teach the workflow (per discussion): - Card order now mirrors the printable CQI Report and the working logic: BAETE 3.8 (describe & justify) → Low Attainment Analysis (diagnose) → BAETE 5.4.3 loop status + 6.1 action tables (decide & close) → Stakeholder Register → Annexure H checklist. - The combined "📋 Copy AI Prompt (CQI narratives & action plans)" button is retired and split into per-card prompts run in order: Step 1 "📋 (3.8 narratives)" in the 3.8 card — drafts only the four narrative boxes; Step 2 "📋 (low-attainment analysis)" (existing) in its card; Step 3 "📋 (5.4.3 action plans)" in the 5.4.3 card — drafts the five Course Report 6.1 loop rows and the Specifications 6.1 closure text. The later prompts embed what was already pasted back (entered narratives, recorded analyses) and require the action plans to be consistent with them, so the split does not lose the old single-generation consistency. - Intro card and Dashboard step 8 now state the order: describe → diagnose → decide. All prompts keep the justification requirement and never include student identities. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.64 stamps. v1.63 — July 16, 2026 (minor) Two refinements per testing feedback: - COs & CO-PO Mapping tab: the "CO Statement" boxes now auto-grow with their content, so the full statement is always visible (previously a fixed two-line box clipped long statements). - "CQI Inputs from the Previous Offering" card (T&L and Assessments tabs): the five "⛓ Course Report 6.1 — this offering's suggested actions" rows are removed. They were outputs of the current offering, not inputs from the previous one — duplicating what is edited in the CQI tab and Course Report 6.1 and doubling the card's height. The five "⛓ Specifications 6.1" rows (the actual previous-offering recommendations that feed the recommender and the scoped AI prompts) are unchanged, Course Report 6.1 remains editable in the CQI tab and on the Course Report itself, and the card's hint and collapsed summary were reworded to match. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.63 stamps. Manual expansion (July 16, 2026 — documentation only, app unchanged): - New section 4.5 "The CA tab — verifying constructive alignment" (triangles, edge colors, chips, suggestions); sections renumbered. - New section 6 "Using the AI Prompts" (all four buttons, the common workflow, contents/exclusions, guardrails, practical tips). - New section 2.5 (Dashboard Suggested Workflow); 4.3 expanded (Topic-wise T&L Plan, Summary Table); 4.4 expanded (optional questions, groups, choice schemes, item Bloom Level ↑); documents section expanded (Outline §15/§16, report charts, grade paste). - Contents rebuilt with correct page numbers. - Workflow infographic (SVG) updated to v1.63: CA card now shows the per-CO Biggs triangles with one-click Adopt and carries the app's "any time" badge; T&L card mentions the Topic-wise T&L Plan; Students & Marks card mentions bulk paste / ID-matched Replace List; Course Info card notes auto-save; version stamp v1.45 → v1.63. (Regenerate the PNG from the SVG — a svg_to_png.html helper is included in the folder.) - New workflow_infographic_widescreen.svg (1920×1080, 16:9) for projection: steps 1-5 across the top row, 6-9 serpentine on the second row, and an amber "Duplicate for New Semester" loop card closing the cycle back to step 1; same content as the portrait version. - Second audit pass against the app: CA row added to the "interface at a glance" tab table (2.2), "ten tabs" corrected to eleven, and the two remaining "exit-survey" terms renamed to Course Evaluation Survey (settings table and data-formats heading). v1.62 — July 16, 2026 (minor) Course Outline and CA tab improvements per feedback: - Outline §15 "Percentages of Assessment Methods" is now a standalone, user-managed table (no longer linked to the Assessments tab): add/delete Method + Percentage rows freely (e.g., include Attendance per the approved grading policy). A Total row flags sums that differ from 100%. A screen-only "⛏ Prefill from Assessments tab" button seeds the rows from the course's assessments and their marks shares as a starting point. One-time migration: existing courses keep the values previously shown. - Outline §16 "Week wise distribution": new "⬇ Download Template (CSV)" (Week, Topics, Assessment Method(s) — includes current content, doubling as an export) and "⬆ Import (CSV)" buttons. Weeks present in the file overwrite those weeks after a confirmation; missing weeks keep their content; quoted multi-line cells are supported. - CA tab: the Biggs triangle is now repeated inside every CO card — live from that CO's own adopted activities (⛓ T&L tab) and assessment items (⛓ Assessments tab), each edge colored by that CO's alignment state. The card header shows the CO statement and its Bloom's Domain & Level clearly (e.g., "Cognitive · C6 Create"). The course-level triangle stays on top as the overall summary. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.62 stamps. v1.61 — July 16, 2026 (minor) Feedback fixes in the documents and the new-semester copy: - Course Specifications: "3. Constructive Alignment" and "3.1 Statement of COs" are now separate heading lines. - Specifications 3.1 table: the "Delivery Methods and Activities" column is now an auto-growing box, so every adopted T&L activity is fully visible (previously a single-line field truncated long lists). - Specifications 3.1 table: "Assessment Method" is now auto-filled from the Assessments tab — each CO shows the assessments that measure it (by name, or type when unnamed); a dotted box beneath accepts additional methods. The footnote documents the ⛓ link. - Course Report: "2. Learning Outcomes" and "2.1 Analysis of existing COs, POs, and Bloom's Taxonomy levels" are now separate heading lines. - Duplicate for New Semester now also clears the CQI tab's four narratives (used verbatim in the printable CQI Report) plus the other per-offering CQI records — low-attainment analyses, stakeholder register and evidence ticks — which all refer to the marks and evidence of the offering being copied. The confirmation dialog lists everything cleared. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.61 stamps. v1.60 — July 16, 2026 (minor) Five refinements per testing feedback: - Duplicate for New Semester now also clears the two per-offering working boxes — "Suggested Modifications in T&L Activities" (T&L tab) and "Suggested Modifications in Assessment Activities" (Assessments tab) — so the copy starts with empty notes. - Course Information and Attainment Settings now save automatically as each field is edited (like the rest of the app); the "Save Course Info" and "Save Settings" buttons are removed. - CQI Report §5 "Closure of the Previous Loop": the "Actions Recommended Previously" and "How They Were Reflected" columns now preserve line breaks (pre-wrap), matching the CQI tab; the §4 recommended-actions column likewise. - Course Report 4.1: new screen-only paste box + "⬆ Fill Grades from Pasted Data" button — accepts grade-count lines (e.g., "A+ 5") or a single row of 10 counts in A+…F order, mirroring the paste option in Students & Marks. - About card (Data & Backup) rewritten: release-date line removed; copyright/CC BY 4.0 licence, GitHub repository link and feedback e-mail (mazharul.islam.mpe@aust.edu) added. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.60 stamps. v1.59 — July 15, 2026 (minor) Topic-wise T&L Plan (T&L tab) refined per testing feedback: - Column widths rebalanced: Topics is now the dominant column (~45%), Related COs the narrowest (95px, checkboxes stacked vertically), T&L Methods a moderate fixed width where chips wrap. - Per-topic activity additions: alongside the auto-filled blue chips (from the ticked COs' adopted activities, removable only by un-adopting), each topic accepts its own activities via an Activity-Pool-autocomplete input — shown as green, removable chips. Stored with the course, kept in backups and carried by Duplicate for New Semester. - "⬇ Topics Template (CSV)" and "⬆ Import Topics (CSV)" buttons now also live in this card (same functions as Specifications 4.1); imports refresh whichever tab they were used from and preserve — for matching topic names — Actual Hours, variation reasons, Related COs and topic-specific activities. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.59 stamps. v1.58 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - T&L tab: new "Topic-wise T&L Plan" table before the Summary Table. Its first three columns (Sl., Topics, Planned Hours) are ⛓ the same data as Course Specifications 4.1 (and Course Report 3.1) — editable in either place, with + Add Topic and per-row Delete here too (the CSV template/import remains in Specifications 4.1). Two new columns automate the lesson plan: "Related COs" (tick-chips per topic — multi-CO, stored with the course, carried by backups and Duplicate for New Semester) and "T&L Methods (auto)" — the union of the adopted activities of the ticked COs, updating live as adoptions change. - The Activity Pool card (pool browser + Add a custom activity) moved from the T&L tab to Data & Backup — the pool is department-shareable data that travels in JSON backups, and the T&L tab is decluttered. The recommender, the autocomplete datalist and the summary-table tips keep reading the same pool; a pointer in the T&L tab names the new home. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.58 stamps. v1.57 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - New scoped AI prompt in the CQI tab's Low Attainment Analysis section: "Copy AI Prompt (low-attainment analysis)". It covers ONLY the not-attained COs, packaging each one's evidence — score distribution bands, weakest items with class averages and attempt counts (optional items flagged so skipping is never misread as failure), adopted T&L activities with recorded effectiveness — and asks for the section's three fields per CO, labelled exactly for paste-back: (a) Analysis w.r.t. Teaching-Learning activities, (b) Analysis w.r.t. Assessment techniques (referencing the weakest items), (c) Comment on the low attainment level (with the corrective action to carry into Course Report 6.1). Guards: asks for marks first if none exist; reports "all COs attained" instead of producing an empty prompt. The button's tooltip recommends running it before the narratives prompt. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.57 stamps. v1.56 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - CQI narratives prompt, task item 6 ("Actions reflected") hardened after field testing showed the AI covering only the first loop row: the task now demands EXACTLY five labelled blocks (one per loop row, never merged or omitted); mixed CO/PO material in a single recommendation cell must be distributed to the correct rows (CO actions under row 1, PO-level consequences under row 3); and two distinct fallbacks keep every cell honest — "No previous recommendation for this loop." when the first column is empty, "No specific action this offering." when a recommendation exists but nothing addressed it. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.56 stamps. v1.55 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - The CQI tab's "Copy AI Prompt (CQI narratives & action plans)" gains task item 6: "Actions from the previous offering & how they were reflected (Course Specifications 6.1, second column)" — one block per previous recommendation, synthesized from the working notes, adopted activities and assessment plan, with the strict "No specific action this offering." fallback and an explicit instruction never to alter the first column (the previous Course Report's text). New evidence sections feed it: the numbered previous recommendations (read-only) and the two "Suggested Modifications" working boxes. Item 6 and its sections appear only when 6.1 has recommendations to close. - The now-redundant "Copy AI Prompt (synthesize 'Actions reflected')" button in Course Specifications 6.1 is retired; the on-screen hints point to the CQI tab's prompt instead. - "CQI Inputs from the Previous Offering" cards (T&L and Assessments tabs) are now EDITABLE when expanded: all five loop rows show paired auto-growing entry boxes — ⛓ Specifications 6.1 (previous offering's recommended actions) and ⛓ Course Report 6.1 (this offering's suggested actions). Everything writes into the one shared dataset, so entries made here appear instantly in both documents and the CQI tab; editing a Specifications entry refreshes the tab's recommendations live. Empty rows are shown too, so first-time entries can be made right where planning happens. The collapsed one-line summary remains the default view. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.55 stamps. v1.54 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - "Copy AI Prompt (CQI narratives & action plans)" now asks for exactly what its name promises. The task list previously requested low-attainment analyses (which belong to the Low Attainment Analysis section) and generic actions; it now targets, labelled verbatim for field-by-field paste-back: 1) "How the teaching-learning methods and assessment tools address complex engineering problems and the POs" 2) "Why these methods and tools are effective and appropriate" (citing attainment, survey findings, TLA effectiveness; honest about the not-attained COs) 3) "Process of designing and selecting assessment tools" 4) "Question moderation / vetting process" 5) "Improvement actions from this offering (Course Report 6.1)" — one block per loop row (CO/PO/PEO, direct/indirect), with the strict "No specific action this offering." fallback. New evidence in the prompt: CP/CEA tags on the COs, per-assessment rubric status, recorded TLA effectiveness, and vetter names from the Vetting Form. - The printable CQI Report is now explicitly fully auto-generated: a screen-only notice states that every section is drawn from the CQI tab, Course Specifications and Course Report — nothing to fill in on the document; complete the sources and print. The narrative boxes preserve line breaks and their empty-state text points to the CQI tab. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.54 stamps. v1.53 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - Multi-line topics now display correctly. Topic lists pasted from Excel with Alt+Enter line breaks were imported correctly (v1.52) but rendered as one run-on line, because the 4.1 Topics cell was a single-line input. The cell is now an auto-growing multi-line box (line breaks editable, prints in full), and Course Report 3.1 renders the same topics with line breaks preserved. Already imported data appears correctly without re-importing; the CSV template round-trip (quoted multi-line cells) was already safe. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.53 stamps. v1.52 — July 15, 2026 (minor) Course Specifications: - Headings split into two lines: "4. Teaching & Learning Activities" / "4.1 Planned Contact Hours for Different Topics" and "5. Assessments" / "5.1 Assessment Blueprint" (matching the Course Report's 3/3.1 pattern). - Section 4.1: new "⬇ Topics Template (CSV)" download (columns Topic, Planned Contact Hours; includes the current topics, so it doubles as an export for editing in Excel) and "⬆ Import Topics (CSV)" — the imported file becomes the topic list after a confirmation stating the counts; topics whose name matches keep their Actual Hours and variation reasons (protecting Course Report 3.1 mid-semester). Forgiving parsing: blank or non-numeric hours are accepted/skipped and reported. Course Report enrichments: - Sections 4.2 and 4.3 now embed the CO and PO attainment charts (same data and styling as the Attainment tab: bars vs the Target KPI line) immediately before the respective comment boxes; sized for A4 printing, drawn without animation so printing right after opening works, with a quiet placeholder until marks exist. - Section 5.1: the Course Evaluation Survey summary gains an "Attained (vs Target KPI)?" row. - New section 5.3 "Combined Attainment": per-CO and per-PO combined (direct+indirect, editable weights) percentages with Attained rows — the figure BAETE ultimately judges, tying sections 4 and 5 together. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.52 stamps. v1.51 — July 15, 2026 (minor) Students & Marks — list management fixed (reported by a testing colleague: re-pasting a corrected list only appended, and students could only be deleted one by one): - Bulk paste now offers two explicit actions. "+ Add to List" appends pasted students (existing IDs are no longer silently skipped — their names update from the paste; marks untouched). "⟲ Replace List" swaps in the pasted list as the new class list: students whose Student ID matches keep their entered marks (and get the corrected name), students absent from the new list are removed with their marks — a confirmation first states both counts. - New "🗑 Remove All Students" button clears the whole list and all marks after a confirmation (with a reminder to export a JSON backup first). - Manual and README regenerated with v1.51 stamps. v1.50 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - Dashboard wording: step 5 now reads "Biggs triangle & constructive alignment suggestions" (naming the concept precisely), and step 9 reads "print the 7 documents for reporting" (stating the purpose rather than the mechanism). - Manual and README regenerated with v1.50 stamps. v1.49 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - Dashboard typography rebalanced to match information hierarchy: the course title is now the largest text on the page (23px), the "Suggested Workflow" heading (renamed from "Suggested workflow", matching the app's other card headings) is a step below (20px), and the five stat-card numbers are reduced (28px -> 21px, labels 12px) so the summary strip no longer dominates the page. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.49 stamps. v1.48 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - Dashboard: the collapsed "CQI loop at a glance" card is removed — the phase-grouped workflow (PLAN/DO/CHECK/ACT with temporal subtitles) now teaches the cycle itself, and the full six-card loop map remains atop the CQI tab. Step 8's expanded detail points to it ("The full loop map is shown atop the CQI tab"). - Dashboard split into two rounded cards: the course identity card (code — title, program · semester · teacher(s)) and a separate "Suggested workflow" card containing the phase groups, stepper circles, expandable rows and the Duplicate / Delete buttons. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.48 stamps. v1.47 — July 15, 2026 (minor) Dashboard redesigned for clarity (progressive disclosure — nothing removed, everything one click away): - The Suggested workflow is now grouped by PDCA phase with temporal subtitles: PLAN (before the semester, steps 1-4), DO (during, 5-6), CHECK (when marks are in, 7), ACT (at the end, 8-9). - Each step shows a stepper circle — filled ✓ when its data exists, outlined for the next incomplete step (highlighted row), muted while pending, dashed for the any-time checkpoints (CA, Accreditation Documents) — plus a one-line gist, the familiar status badge, and a ▸ button that expands the full instructions (the previous detailed row texts, verbatim). - "The CQI loop at a glance" moved below the workflow and is collapsed to a single line ("Show the map" expands the six-card strip). The CQI tab keeps its always-visible strip. - The Duplicate for New Semester and Delete This Course buttons are visually separated. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.47 stamps. v1.46 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - Synthesis prompt (Specifications 6.1, "Actions reflected") rewritten for depth: the previous "2-4 sentences per loop row" cap flattened rich working notes into inadequate summaries. The task now demands the same granularity as the notes — one block PER CO (direct CO row) and one block PER mapped PO (direct PO row), each naming the concrete actions (activities by name, assessment items with type and Bloom level, rubric and similarity-check actions, marks-weight changes) and the recommendation each closes. New constraint: "omit nothing that appears in the notes; do not pad rows that have no matching action". Indirect rows keep the strict "No specific action this offering." fallback. The auto-growing 6.1 boxes accommodate the longer text. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.46 stamps. v1.45 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - All four AI prompts now require justifications, so faculty can evaluate the AI's advice instead of taking it on trust: * T&L suggestions prompt — one-sentence justification per activity (fit to the CO's Bloom domain/level, which recommendation it addresses, feasibility for the class size); * Assessment suggestions prompt — one-sentence justification per technique (validity / reliability / authenticity gains at that CO's level, recommendation addressed); * Synthesis prompt ("Actions reflected") — each closure statement must explicitly name the recommendation it closes; * CQI narratives prompt — every recommended action must carry a one-sentence justification tied to the specific evidence (CO/PO figures, weak items, survey gaps); no unsupported assertions. A shared rule keeps justifications to one sentence — reusable in the CQI narratives. - CQI tab: the generic "Copy AI Prompt" button is renamed "Copy AI Prompt (CQI narratives & action plans)" to make its role obvious next to the other, specifically-named prompt buttons. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.45 stamps. v1.44 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - Assessments tab, item rows: the item Delete button is now clearly visible — a red ✕ under a labelled "Delete" column header (it existed before but was too subtle to find). Deleting an item that already has marks now asks for confirmation, stating how many students' marks will be removed; items without marks delete immediately. - Item rows de-cluttered: the repeated word "Mandatory" next to each checkbox is removed — the column header ("Mandatory?") and the checkbox tooltip carry the explanation. - Consistency: the Course Specifications topics table and the CQI stakeholder register now also label their ✕ column "Delete". - Manual and README regenerated with v1.44 stamps. v1.43 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - Course Report 3.3 (Analysis of the Resources) rebuilt to follow the official AUST template exactly (per the provided document): five sub-tables — 3.3.1 Physical Resources in the Classroom during the Face to Face Sessions, 3.3.2 ICT Hardware Resources, 3.3.3 Software Resources, 3.3.4 Network Resources, 3.3.5 Media Resources — each with an editable Items column (pre-listed items exactly as in the template, plus blank rows for the instructor's own additions), separate Yes / No tick columns (mutually exclusive) and Remarks boxes (5 rows, auto-growing). Sub-sections numbered 3.3.1–3.3.5 to avoid clashing with 3.1/3.2. - Data: pre-v1.42 category entries migrate onto the matching rows (including the old software items where filled); v1.42's per-activity resource notes remain in saved files but are no longer displayed. "Duplicate for New Semester" resets 3.3 to a blank template. - Course Info: "Course Teacher" relabelled "Course Teacher(s)". - Housekeeping: three code comments whose historical version numbers had been drifting with each release were reworded. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.43 stamps. v1.42 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - Course Outline 16 (week-wise distribution): the Topic and Assessment-method cells are now auto-growing boxes (2 rows by default — compact when empty, expanding with the text). - Course Report: the combined heading is split into "3. Teaching & Learning Activities" and "3.1 Analysis of Contact Hours". - Course Report 3.2 (Analysis of T&L Activities): rows are now derived automatically from the adopted activities (same union as the T&L tab's Summary Table) — one row per activity with its CO(s), name read-only; "Was it effective?" and the difficulties box (5 rows, auto-growing) remain editable. Existing entries migrate by name; analyses of activities no longer adopted are preserved and marked "no longer adopted". The T&L recommender's ineffective-activity ranking reads the new structure. - Course Report 3.3 (Analysis of the Resources): likewise one row per adopted activity — Resources Used/Required, Acceptable?, and Remarks (auto-growing boxes) — replacing the fixed physical/ICT/software/network/media category tables. (Old category data remains in saved files but is no longer shown.) - No manual rows in 3.2/3.3: adopt or remove activities in the T&L tab (single source of truth). - "CO Exit Survey" renamed to "Course Evaluation Survey" everywhere — Attainment tab (one parenthetical keeps the familiar "CO exit survey" term), printable document title and navigation, CSV template filename, Dashboard, CQI loop map and status board, evidence checklist, AI prompts, Manual and README. Saved data and previously exported CSVs are unaffected. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.42 stamps. v1.41 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - Uniform sizing for every multi-line entry box: 5 rows by default, growing automatically as the text exceeds them (and opening fully expanded for previously saved long text). Applies to the "Suggested Modifications" boxes (T&L and Assessments tabs), all narrative and table boxes in the CQI tab, and every editable multi-line field in all seven Accreditation Documents. Single-line dotted fields are unchanged. Supersedes the fixed 10-row boxes of v1.35/v1.40. - Printed documents now size each box to its content (minimum five rows): compact when empty, complete when filled. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.41 stamps. v1.40 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - The scoped AI-prompt buttons moved into their working-notes cards: "Copy AI Prompt (T&L suggestions only)" now sits inside "Suggested Modifications in T&L Activities", and "Copy AI Prompt (assessment suggestions only)" inside "Suggested Modifications in Assessment Activities" — copy the prompt, paste the AI's output into the box just below it. The collapsed CQI Inputs cards are now purely informational (summary line + Show details). - Both working-notes boxes are full page-width with 10 visible rows and auto-grow: the box expands as text exceeds 10 rows (also on first render of previously saved long text). - Course Specifications 6.1: new "Copy AI Prompt (synthesize 'Actions reflected')" button — synthesizes the two working boxes (with the 6.1 recommendations as context) into accreditation-ready closure text for the "Actions reflected in the Current Course Specification" column, one labelled block per loop row; rows with no matching action get "No specific action this offering." Guard: asks to fill the boxes first if both are empty. (Distinct from the combined planning prompt retired in v1.38 — this one closes the loop rather than plans it.) - Faculty Manual: new section 5.1 "The CQI Loop at a Glance" — the six-step loop map as a table (Phase / Where in the app / What you do) followed by step-by-step explanations built around one running example (a Renewable Energy Systems course improving CO1 and CO4 across a full cycle), and a "Scholarly basis" note grounding the workflow in PDCA (Shewhart/Deming), the HE outcomes-assessment "closing the loop" literature (Suskie; Banta & Palomba; Prados et al.; CDIO Standard 12) and Biggs' constructive alignment. - README regenerated with v1.40 stamps. v1.39 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - New working-notes boxes below the CQI Inputs cards: "Suggested Modifications in T&L Activities" (T&L tab) and "Suggested Modifications in Assessment Activities" (Assessments tab). Paste the distilled suggestions (e.g., the scoped AI prompt's output) and act on them while selecting activities and designing assessments. Pool activities named in the T&L box are boosted in the recommendations (green "CQI match" badge, live on save). Stored per course and kept in backups; not printed in any document — closure is still recorded in Specifications 6.1 ("Actions reflected"). - Dashboard: workflow item 4 (Assessments) now starts from the assessment-related CQI recommendations of the previous offering and names the new working-notes box; item 3 (T&L) likewise names its box. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.39 stamps. v1.38 — July 15, 2026 (minor) CQI simplification across Dashboard, T&L, Assessments and CQI tabs, after a critical review of duplications: - Dashboard: new "CQI loop at a glance" map above the Suggested workflow — START (previous Course Report 6.1) → PLAN (Specifications 6.1; T&L + Assessments) → DO·CHECK (deliver, marks, attainment, survey) → ACT (Course Report 6.1, CQI narratives/evidence) → ⟳ REPEAT (Duplicate for New Semester), each step naming its tab. The nine workflow items now carry matching PLAN / DO / CHECK / ACT phase tags, so the whole process reads as one continuous CQI story. The same loop map appears atop the CQI tab. - "CQI Inputs from the Previous Offering" cards (T&L and Assessments tabs) are collapsed by default: one summary line ("N recommendation entries recorded · sources") plus the tab's AI-prompt button; "Show details" expands the full panels. - One dataset, clearly marked: every instance of the shared 6.1 tables (CQI tab, both documents, the cards' panels) carries a "⛓ linked" badge stating it is the same data, editable in either place. - "⟳ Pull CQI actions from Course Report into Specifications 6.1" now lives only in the CQI tab (the loop's home); removed from the T&L and Assessments cards. - The combined "Copy AI Prompt (T&L + assessment planning)" button in Course Specifications 6.1 is retired — since v1.37 it was exactly the union of the two scoped prompts, which remain in the T&L and Assessments tabs (a note under 6.1 points to them). - Manual and README regenerated with v1.38 stamps. v1.37 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - Assessments tab: new "CQI Inputs from the Previous Offering" card at the top of the page — identical to the T&L tab's card (labelled, scrollable recommendation panels with source badges, CO sub-headings and bullets). Its button row hosts the "Copy AI Prompt (assessment suggestions only)" button (moved out of the Assessment Plan card), plus Pull CQI actions and the Open Specifications / Open Report shortcuts. Assessments-specific empty state: "fill Course Specifications 6.1 first". The "Marked ineffective last time" line remains T&L-only. - "⟳ Pull CQI actions" now refreshes whichever tab it was pressed from (previously always re-rendered T&L). - AI prompt consistency: all three prompt buttons (T&L-only, assessment-only, and the combined planner in Course Specifications 6.1) are now generated from the same shared building blocks — course header, 6.1 recommendations block, T&L context, assessment context, task texts and constraints. The combined prompt is by construction the exact union of the two scoped prompts, so they can never drift apart. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.37 stamps. v1.36 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - T&L tab, "CQI Inputs from the Previous Offering": the recorded recommendations are now readable — each filled entry appears in its own labelled, scrollable panel (max ~240 px, source badge: Specifications 6.1 or Course Report 6.1, loop name). Inside the panels, "COn:" prefixes become bold sub-headings, dash-separated items become bullets, dash-runs become separators, and plain prose stays untouched (display only; the recommender still reads the raw text). - New scoped AI prompt in the T&L tab — "Copy AI Prompt (T&L suggestions only)": extracts ONLY the teaching-learning advice from the Specifications 6.1 "Recommended Actions" column, expressed per CO as adoptable Activity-Pool names with one-line classroom tips (assessment advice explicitly excluded). - New scoped AI prompt in the Assessments tab — "Copy AI Prompt (assessment suggestions only)": extracts ONLY the assessment advice, expressed as actions doable in that tab (items with CO/marks/Level, mandatory vs optional and question choice, rubrics incl. the "Rubric prepared" tick, similarity checks, marks distribution). Teaching-delivery advice excluded. - Both new buttons guard against an empty 6.1; the combined planning prompt in Course Specifications 6.1 (v1.34) remains. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.36 stamps. v1.35 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - Larger entry boxes (10 visible lines each, scroll beyond) for all CQI action fields, to accommodate substantial narratives: * Course Specifications 6.1 — both the "Recommended Actions for Quality Improvement" and "Actions reflected in the Current Course Specification" columns (all five rows); * Course Report 6.1 (Suggested Action Plans) — all five rows; * CQI tab — the two linked tables mirroring the above. Same data paths and auto-save as before; printed documents show the roomier boxes, matching the space given in the AUST paper templates. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.35 stamps. v1.34 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - Course Specifications, section 6.1: new "Copy AI Prompt (T&L + assessment planning)" button (screen-only; excluded from print). The prompt's recommendation inputs are ONLY the five cells of the "Recommended Actions for Quality Improvement" column (CO direct, CO indirect, PO direct, PO indirect, PEO indirect; empty rows skipped). Course context (COs with domain/level, adopted T&L activities, assessment plan with rubric status, class size) and the Activity Pool names are included as background only, so the AI's suggestions map to specific COs and use adoptable pool names. The task asks for practical, semester-ready tips on (1) T&L activity selection and (2) assessment techniques (authentic tasks, rubrics, similarity checks, question design/moderation). - Guard: if all five cells are empty, the button asks the user to fill 6.1 first instead of producing an empty prompt. - On-screen hint under the 6.1 table explains the flow: adopt suggestions in the T&L tab, adjust techniques in the Assessments tab (they then feed Specifications 3.1 and the CA checks). - Manual and README regenerated with v1.34 stamps. v1.33 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - Dashboard "Suggested workflow" rewritten to reflect all current features (items 1-9): attainment thresholds under Course Info; BT Domain/Level and tick-matrix under COs; the T&L step now directs users to fill out Course Specifications Table 6.1 (CQI recommendations of the previous offering) and notes that adopted activities auto-fill Table 3.1 (Constructive Alignment), plus the T&L Activities Summary Table; the Assessments step covers item Level warnings, optional questions / ⚙ question choice, the "Rubric prepared" tick and the Assessment Summary Table; CA, Students & Marks (CSV), Attainment (Indirect + Combined), and CQI (low-attainment analysis, rubrics evidence, Copy AI Prompt) updated accordingly. - Item 9 reworded: "... Course Report & CQI Report — several key information are auto-filled and printable." - Manual and README regenerated with v1.33 stamps. v1.32 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - Practical Tips (Assessment Summary Table) now name the specific assessment(s) each tip concerns (e.g., "Assignment 2: ...", "Term Project, Final Exam: ..."), so there is no ambiguity about which assessment the advice applies to. - Assignments: rubric made mandatory — the tip states that a rubric is a must (attached to the brief) and that submissions should be run through a similarity checker (e.g., Turnitin or the institution's approved platform), with the policy stated up front. - New "Rubric prepared" checkbox on Assignment / Project / Presentation / Viva assessment cards; until ticked, the summary table shows an amber "rubric pending — " badge. Rubrics added to the CQI tab's Annexure H evidence checklist. - New tips: authorship check in the AI era (pair take-home assignments/projects with a short viva or in-class task); individual accountability in group projects (peer assessment / contribution-weighted marks); formative use of quizzes with rapid feedback before the next major assessment (Nicol & Macfarlane-Dick 2006). - Manual and README regenerated with v1.32 stamps. v1.31 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - Assessment Summary Table (Assessments tab): the "Comments from CA Perspective" column is replaced by "Practical Tips" — short, rule-generated advice on the assessments measuring each CO, from an engineering-education perspective: analytic rubrics shared in advance (projects/assignments, labs, presentations/vivas), authentic exam problems with realistic data and pre-moderated marking schemes, parallel optional questions, observation checklists for affective/psychomotor COs, and formative use of quizzes. Grounded in the assessment literature (Biggs & Tang; Wiggins 1990; Gulikers et al. 2004; Jonsson & Svingby 2007; Panadero & Jonsson 2013) — see the Manual's new "Authentic assessment & rubrics" note. Unassessed COs remain flagged in red; alignment analysis stays in the CA tab (no duplication). - Manual and README regenerated with v1.31 stamps. v1.30 — July 15, 2026 (minor) - T&L tab: new "T&L Activities Summary Table" at the bottom of the page — every adopted activity with its Brief Description, Practical Tips and Related CO(s). Classroom-ready tips authored for all 31 built-in pool activities; custom pool activities accept your own tips (new field in the Add-a-custom-activity form); free-text activities show "—" until matched to a pool entry. - Assessments tab: new "Assessment Summary Table" at the bottom of the page — per CO: the assessments/items measuring it (with the † optional and ↑ exceeds-level markers), % of Total Marks, and Comments from the CA Perspective generated by the same rules as the CA tab (unassessed, exceeds level, optional-only measurement, under-assessed, high-level CO assessed only by quizzes, ✓ Aligned). A totals row flags marks not mapped to any CO. - New marks-distribution chart above the Assessment Summary Table: one stacked horizontal bar showing each CO's share of the total marks, for an at-a-glance check of assessment balance. - Manual and README regenerated with v1.30 stamps. v1.29 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - CA tab: the triangle's centre now reads "KSA" (larger type) instead of the three words; the legend beneath the figure and a hover tooltip expand it — KSA = Knowledge, Skills, Attitudes. - Change log file renamed to include the version number (change_log_v1.29.txt); it will be renamed at every release. - Manual, README and Methodology guide regenerated with v1.29 stamps. v1.28 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - "T&L Activities" tab renamed to "T&L". - New "CA" tab (after Assessments): live Biggs constructive-alignment triangle — Course Outcomes / T&L Activities / Assessments with "Knowledge, Skills, Attitudes" at the centre — each edge colored by the course's actual state (green/amber/red). Per-CO alignment cards show adopted activities (verified fit / level mismatch / unverified free-text) and assessment items (marks share, † optional, ↑ exceeds level), with rule-based suggestions: unassessed COs, missing or mismatched activities (one-click Adopt), level-exceeding items, under-assessed COs (<10% of marks), Create/Evaluate COs assessed only by quizzes, and optional-only measurement warnings. - Assessment items gained a Bloom "Level" (options follow the CO's BT domain; defaults to and re-syncs with the CO's declared level). Setting an item's level ABOVE its CO's raises a constructive- alignment warning (override-able; overridden items carry a persistent ↑ marker). Existing items migrated to their CO's level. No attainment calculation is affected. - Vetting Form Level column and the Course Specifications assessment blueprint now show each item's own level. - Dashboard workflow updated (CA inserted as step 5). v1.27 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - Attainment tab, Indirect Measurement: new "Download Survey CSV Template" button — a header-only CSV (Timestamp + one column per CO with the full CO statement, import-compatible by construction) for filling in Excel or designing a Google Form. Import button renamed from "Import Survey CSV (Google Forms)" to "Import Survey CSV". v1.26 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - File menu completed: "New Data File…" creates a fresh workspace (no courses) saved to a brand-new .json — the custom T&L Activity Pool carries over; the previous file is flushed before switching, and confirmations guard un-linked or un-reconnected data. "Save As…" added to the linked and reconnect states — writes the current data to a newly chosen file (suggested name: _copy.json) and switches auto-saving to it, leaving the old file as a snapshot. v1.25 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - AI prompt enriched based on field testing: weakest items now include attempt counts ("attempted by x of N students" — distinguishes non-submission from task difficulty); each not-attained CO gains a five-band score distribution (0-20/20-40/40-60/60-80/80-100%); the IUMS grade distribution is included when entered in the Course Report; and the constraints now state explicitly that attendance/ participation data is not tracked, with the blank-vs-zero marks convention restated. v1.24 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - CQI tab: new "📋 Copy AI Prompt" button. Assembles a complete, curated prompt from the course data — methodology note (with the course's actual thresholds), course context, full CO statements with BT domain/level and mapped POs, Washington Accord names of the mapped POs only, assessment plan (marks, CO tags, optional flags, groups, choice scheme), direct results (per-CO n, averages, verdicts, weakest items, below-threshold counts), indirect survey summary, T&L history (adopted activities, recorded effectiveness, previous CQI actions), a task list auto-focused on the not-attained COs, and evidence-bound constraints. Aggregates only — student names/IDs are never included. Empty sections are omitted. Copies to the clipboard for pasting into any AI tool. v1.23 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - CQI tab: all analysis fields now allow at least five lines. The narrative and low-attainment textareas gained a five-line minimum height (still resizable), and the single-line inputs in the two linked action tables (Course Report 6.1 / Course Specifications 6.1) were converted to multi-line textareas. The printable documents keep their compact print-style fields. v1.22 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - CQI tab: all editable fields widened to full width (CSS only) — the BAETE 3.8 narratives, the action tables linked to Course Report 6.1 and Course Specifications 6.1, the low-attainment analysis boxes, and the stakeholder register. The Date column keeps its compact width; the printable documents' dotted print-style fields are unaffected. No calculation or content changes. v1.21 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - Attainment Calculation Methodology guide: applicability line updated to v1.21, noting that calculations are unchanged since v1.20 and that Group/scheme settings now live under the Advanced panel. - Assessments tab simplified by progressive disclosure: item rows show only Label, Max marks, CO and Mandatory. Question Groups and the choice scheme moved into a per-assessment "⚙ Advanced (question choice)" panel — collapsed by default, shown only when the assessment has optional items, auto-opened when its settings are in use (with a "settings in use" badge when collapsed). No change to any calculation; all v1.18–v1.20 fairness rules remain in force. v1.20 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - Choice scheme per assessment: declare "students must answer k of the optional questions" in the Assessment Plan (question-unit = a group or an ungrouped optional item). Rule R5: a student attempting fewer than k units has the shortfall counted as zeros, drawn from the unattempted units with the highest maximum marks (deterministic, conservative). Attempting more than k counts all attempted units. - Absent rule: with a declared scheme, a student with no marks anywhere in that assessment is treated as absent from it and excluded from its calculations (instead of receiving phantom zeros). - Full methodology with worked examples published in Attainment_Calculation_Methodology.docx (Annex A now implemented). v1.19 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - Assessment Plan: optional items can share a question Group (e.g., sub-parts Q3a/Q3b grouped as "Q3"). If a student attempts any item of the group, the whole group counts for that student (unanswered sub-parts = 0) — partial answers to a deliberately chosen question are penalized. If no item of the group is attempted, the whole group is excluded (no penalty). Groups are scoped per assessment; an entered 0 counts as an attempt and engages the group. - Group shown in the assessment blueprint; low-attainment item averages are group-aware. v1.18 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - Assessment Plan: every item now has a "Mandatory" checkbox (default: ticked). Fair handling of choice-based exams (e.g., "Q1 mandatory, answer any four of Q2-Q7"): a blank mark on a mandatory item counts as 0, while a blank on an optional item is excluded from that student's CO calculation — no penalty for legitimately skipped questions. Students with no assessed marks under a CO are excluded from that CO's cohort (per-CO n shown in the Attainment tab), and per-student PO scores use only the COs the student was assessed on. - Optional items are marked with † in the marks grid and the vetting form, "(optional)" in the assessment blueprint, and an "optional" badge in the low-attainment diagnostics. - Convention: blank = not attempted; an entered 0 = attempted and scored zero. v1.17 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - T&L Activities: adopted activities can now be deselected. Each CO card shows its delivery methods as removable chips (click × to remove); the recommendation list's "adopted" badge reverts to "+ Adopt" immediately, so choices are fully reversible. Removal does not touch the effectiveness history (Course Report 3.2) or CQI records. v1.16 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - Ctrl+S / Cmd+S now saves the current session at any moment: commits the field being edited, flushes the pending file write immediately (file linked), prompts reconnection (file awaiting permission), or confirms browser storage (no file). The browser's own "Save page as…" dialog is suppressed. The File menu item now reads "Save Now (Ctrl+S)". v1.15 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - Accreditation Documents: the "AUST" placeholder circle in the top-left corner of every document is replaced by the official AUST logo. The logo ships as aust_logo.svg next to index.html (upload both to the repository); if the file is missing, documents render without a logo. v1.14 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - T&L Activities: the "Add your own activity" input now suggests activities from the Activity Pool as you type (autocomplete via datalist) — pick a pool activity, search it, or enter a new one in the same box. Using canonical pool names keeps the CQI effectiveness tracking (name-matched) reliable. v1.13 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - T&L Activities: each CO card now has an "Add your own activity" input — typed activities are appended directly to that CO's delivery methods (with duplicate protection). An optional tick also saves the activity to the Activity Pool, auto-tagged with the CO's BT domain and level so it participates in future recommendations and sharing. - Recommendation lists gained a "Show all matching" toggle (previously fixed at the top 6). v1.12 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - CO-PO Mapping Matrix simplified: a click now toggles a check mark (✓) instead of cycling correlation strengths 1/2/3. The strengths were display-only (calculations already treated mapping as binary, weighted by CO marks per the AUST workbook method), so results are unchanged. Existing files with 1-3 values remain fully compatible (any non-zero value shows as ✓). v1.11 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - Header file chip is now a File menu: with no file linked it shows "File" with Open Data File… / Save to New File…; with a file linked the status chip opens a menu with Open Another File…, Save Now and Stop Using File; the Reconnect state keeps one-click reconnect plus the menu. Opening an existing file is now available directly from the main interface. v1.10 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - COs & CO-PO Mapping: added a "BT Domain" drop-down per CO (Cognitive / Affective / Psychomotor); the "Level" column (renamed from "Bloom's Level") now offers the levels of the selected domain (C1-C6, A1-A5, P1-P7). - Propagated throughout the app: the T&L Activities recommender now matches Affective/Psychomotor COs to activities covering those domains; the Final Exam Vetting Form's Level column, the CQI tab and the CQI Report show the level of the CO's primary domain. - Course Outline / Specifications keep their three-column C/A/P Bloom's display as per the AUST templates. v1.9 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - Header icon: restored the v1.6 dark-gradient tile (preferred color scheme) and solved its contrast problem with a mint hairline outline and a stronger drop shadow, so the tile separates cleanly from the teal title bar. v1.8 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - Header logo redesigned as a tile-less mark: the target rings, CQI orbit arrow and checkmark are now drawn directly on the title bar (white rings with a subtle dark halo, amber accents) instead of sitting on a background tile — better integration and contrast. v1.7 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - Header icon switched to a light variant (mint-white tile, teal target rings) for sufficient contrast against the teal title bar; the dark variant remains in use for the favicon and standalone icon assets, which sit on light backgrounds. v1.6 — July 14, 2026 (minor) - Faculty User Manual: app icon added to the cover page above the title. - Added the app icon (target + checkmark + CQI orbit arrow) inline beside the "OBE Course Manager" title in the header — a brand lockup embedded as inline SVG, keeping the app a single file. - Standalone icon assets added to the repository: app_icon.svg, app_icon_1024.png, app_icon_512.png, favicon PNGs. v1.5 — July 13, 2026 (minor) - Added a favicon (inline SVG data URI, keeping the app a single file): a target symbol with a checkmark at its centre — outcomes attained — in the tool's teal/amber palette. Static (non-animated) by design. v1.4 — July 13, 2026 (minor) - Course Info: changed the Cohort field's example text from "e.g., Intake Spring 2023 / 39th batch" to "e.g., ME17". v1.3 — July 13, 2026 (minor) - Added a "Cohort" field in Course Info (between Section and Course Teacher). The value is copied automatically into the Direct Measurements of COs & POs document (between Section and No. of Students) and the CQI Report (between Semester and Course Teacher). - Faculty User Manual updated accordingly. v1.2 — July 13, 2026 (minor) - Renamed the "AUST Documents" tab to "Accreditation Documents" to make the tool meaningful beyond a single institution; a note in the tab clarifies that the documents follow the AUST OBE templates (BAETE / Washington Accord framework). Updated in the app, README, and the Faculty User Manual. v1.1 — July 13, 2026 (minor) - Added copyright notice and Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) 4.0 International License line to the app footer, README, and the Faculty User Manual (cover page and page footer). - Introduced this change log file (change_log.txt). v1 — July 13, 2026 (first release) Core: - Course management (multiple courses), Course Info, attainment settings. - COs with Bloom's taxonomy (C/A/P) and click-to-set CO-PO mapping matrix (12 Washington Accord Program Outcomes, strengths 1-3). - T&L Activities tab: CQI-aware recommender with a pool of 31 pedagogies (extensible with custom activities), per-CO recommendations filtered by mode and class size, one-click adoption into delivery methods. - Assessment plan: assessments with CO-tagged items and maximum marks. - Students & Marks: individual/bulk enrolment (Excel paste), marks grid, Empty Template (CSV) / Import Marks (CSV) / Export Marks (CSV). Attainment: - Direct measurement following the AUST "Direct CO-PO Calculations" workbook method (Target Pass Marks 40, KPI 50, per-student PO scores weighted by CO allocated marks), with charts. - Indirect measurement via CO Exit Survey (tally grid, Google Forms CSV import, printable survey form), Likert threshold configurable. - Combined attainment with user-editable Direct/Indirect weights (default 80/20). CQI (BAETE Criteria 3.8 & 5.4.3): - Auto-compiled per-CO table of T&L methods, assessment tools, CP/CEA; narrative fields (complex problems, effectiveness, tool design, question moderation). - Six-step CQI-loop status board; action tables two-way linked with Course Report 6.1 and Course Specifications 6.1. - Low Attainment Analysis linked to the Attainment tab: threshold filter for low-scoring students per CO, item-wise average diagnostics, analyses w.r.t. (a) T&L activities and (b) assessment techniques, and comments. - Stakeholder Feedback Register and Annexure H evidence checklist. AUST Documents (auto-filled, printable): - Course Outline, Course Specifications, Final Examination Vetting Form, Direct CO-PO Calculations, CO Exit Survey, Course Report, CQI Report. Data: - Work on a real .json file with auto-save (File System Access API, Chrome/Edge), reconnect flow; localStorage cache; JSON export/import; "Duplicate for New Semester (CQI)" carrying action plans forward. Documentation: - Faculty User Manual (docx) with Appendix A: T&L activity pool descriptions and selection justifications.
